I got admissions based on the percentage I got in my 12th standard. So i got 78.9% which was more than enough for me to get admission in KJ Somaiya College of arts and commerce. Main reason to choose this College was the infrastructure.
I chose B.com because i want to became CA and i think pursuing B.com would build a strong foundation for me to excell further. Faculty members at KJ Somaiya is well qualified and I personally liked the way of their teaching. Exams are not difficult they are average
I have not yet received any offer but some of my friends have received the offer letter for various companies the average stipend that was given was between 15-20 thousand. Companies shortlist student based on the aptitude test and various other factors
Placement for my batch has not started yet but my seniors are well placed KJ Somaiyas Placement rate is really high when compared to other colleges companies like deloite, Accenture, Bajaj visit yearly for the campus recruitment. Campus life is going really great here. All the faculty members and the student here are really very friendly and not socially awkward. Every year KJ Somaiya organizes its fest which is just awesome it's non the less when compared to pillais allegeria. Classrooms are well maintained which is an example of great infrastructure
I personally haven't opted for hostel but some of my friends have opted the hostels for their stay. They said there are definitely some areas of improvement in the hostels. The walls need some repaint and lights go off frequently
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
