Education is almost at average level here, but you'll get fully knowledgeable faculties here for doubt solving. There's number of events which are organized regularly for involvement of students in co-curriculum activities. Seniors are also mostly supportive but as you know every coin has two sides you'll meet some seniors showing there fake seniority but you just need to ignore those things and focus on your academics. Admission Procedure - Students get admission here by giving JEE Mains exam and through JOSAA and CSAB counselling. Even the students from other countries like Bangladesh and Nepal can take admission here through some other examinations. Here there are two quotas for taking admission, home-state quota which are for the students who have passed Class 12 from Sikkim only and they get reservation for 50% of seat, other quota is open-state quota which is for students coming from all parts of India.
Course Curriculum is changing every year here now as they're trying to add modern technology to our syllabus. Every Sem you'll get 6 theory subjects and 4 related practical subjects. Every Semester you have to give three exams Mid-Term 1, Mid-term 2 and End - Term Exam, which will be conducted within 4 months and you'' get more holidays to complete your internships or to learn skills. Exams questions are based on the lecture contents, so you have to attend classed regularly if you want to focus on academics
Here Internship Opportunities are very good as it is 100%. During the 3rd and 4th year you'll start getting internships through Training and Placement Cell. But you can also opt. for internships in 1st year and 2nd year, there's no restrictions for students.
Placements are overall average as it depends on students, skills matter the most, if you're good at academics and don't have any skills then it will be really difficult for you during the placements. Get in touch with the Faculty in-charge of Training and Placements Cell and also the Cell members they have really good connections with the companies.
Here for year students the tuition fees are different as it keeps increasing. So I'll talk about present day scenarios that our first juniors are paying per sem. For Full Fee payers (General -Non EWS etc.)- 1. Tuition Fees - 62500 Rs. 2. Other overall academic fees - 8445 Rs. For 2/3rd Remission Category- 1. Tuition Fees - 29279 Rs. 2. Overall other academic fees - 8445 Rs. For SC/ST/PwD/General-EWS- 1. Tuition Fees - Fully Exempted 2. Other Overall Fees Mess fees are same for all - Rs. 20000 per sem Hostel Fees per sem - Rs. 8250 Other bus fees is optional - 1743 Rs.
1. Here every year cultural and technical fest is organized, cultural fest name is Udgam. 2. Libraries is also accessible for the students and you'll get most of the books which are needed. but it's small as compared to other college libraries. 3. Sports events are organized regularly will it be inter-NIT or inter - department. Recently Basketball court was inaugurated by our Director Sir. You'll get one football ground in which you can play cricket too. 4. Department wise there are number of clubs and cells for students, they use to organize events and programs for student interaction.
Hostels are affordable, you'll get facilities like washing machine, geyser, 24 hours running water but one drawback is that in 1 room 5 students are alloted so there won't be any privacy. For registration in hostel, you're required to meet the chief warden, or you can simply opt it during the time of admission. I won't suggest to stay outside hostel like in PG or a rented room because you won't get that much of time to manage works like cleaning clothes, cooking foods etc. and here everything is costlier so take that point in your mind.
Placements and job opportunities are given to students after their completion of internship some may get the opportunity in between their internship, like recently our department seniors were gone for their internship and they are receiving amount of stipend in their internship at around 7000 rupees which was good thing for them
Curriculum is far well balanced having skill subject's let you have knowledge in other fields like as an medical you can be able to choose hospitality management such as bakery to gain knowledge in baking and the faculties are really supportive and overall academics are good
Recently Our senior's got placement at highly companies in banglore they were from MBA n BBA...our college had tied with many companies n by which many of us r getting employed n it's skill university offcourse we r trained to do something n to perform critical thinking by which we r ready to dive.
The placements are not highlighted as most students apply for jobs in a wide range of off-campus sites. My plans after getting the degree is to clear NET and continue with my education as a PhD scholar.
No guarantees . There is no placement guarantee in our college if you pass you pass their is no guarantee that you'll get a job after the college i have seen my seniors driving taxi after college and I'm afraid
Although the college claims 100 percent placements. I have seen my seniors running and applying for job interviews here and there. However i feel only 50- 60 percent gets placed by the college campus interview. But also there are many opportunities outside the college so one doesn't have to worry for placements.
Yes we do have internship program. If you do diploma you will get one OJT that can vary upon the field of your interest such such you want to move to another location or not And if you are not diploma then you get one OJT plus last 9 months of internship then placement.
job and placements are on average side and if we look at roi of the college then i would say it cannot your first priority but the situations are changing and placement are getting better over the years.
Their is no placement after the completion of course we have to apply to any school by ourselves whenever the govt provide interview for the teacher we can apply in that we have to faced interview to get this job
As this college do not provide placement but you will get the idea what to do next as college conduct different programs where we get the idea of what we can go for after completing our cources ..the job according to your cources
So the University doesn't have any sort of Placement Cell however the student body has assured that they will make it work and resume it soon. But as of now not having Placement benefit is a disadvantage. However, if you're good enough to crack NET exams and some other entrances than even some of the private universities can take us into consideration. I'm planning to crack NET and continue with PhD if I get a chance otherwise I'll have to crack good amount of entrances.
