The college is only available after writing IMU-CET examination and acquire a valid rank. There are other colleges under same university but btech naval architecture and ship building is only available here. College is so distanced from town . Here health care is a challenge. If anything happens there is no hospital near the college. Other than that this college is neat and beautiful. Also the college is under central government thus campus is ragging free.
Course curriculum is an average there is no difficult sections. The faculty is some what poor due to inexperience. The devices used here new. Everything is maintained very well. There is library with vast amount of collection of books. I choose the course to design ship.
They are saying about 90 percentage placement but it can only happen if the batch perform well. Supply and other things can ruin your placement. The placement is only inside India thus the average annual income is comparatively low with other college placement salary.
The fees here is 2,75,000 per year . 1,25,000 per semester and 30,000 on odd semester as program fee. There is no scholarship in the college. The fees is slightly high even though it is a central government college. But it similiar to other private institutions.
Here life is some what medium . In first semester there is class in Saturday also . Sunday is the only day for outing that also you need to go more than 1 hour of travelling to get somewhere . Other than that here we get sports and everything. There is different clubs for this.
Here for this course residential is mandatory even if your house is near the campus. The food are nearly similar in taste with my home town Kerala. The food are spicy and tasty. There will veg and non veg accordingly those who don't want non veg can have paneer
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.
The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.
Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.
The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.
In my college, the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.
Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
Job opportunities are countless for the students who are skilled. Both software and core jobs placements can be observerved in a wide range. Many multi national companies like deloitte, infosys, snovasys, TCS, Accenture are tied up with the campus for conducting drives.
placements are good compared to many other college in the area. many companies like deloitte , hexaware , moldtek, ctrls, zf technologies, accenture , infosys, tcs, coditas, rithwik enterprises recruit every year from our college
There are good placements are going on on this university to crack a job interviews and minimum packages are got by some and most got more packages and the more more companies are coming to this university and when we have skill and discipline only we get placement job otherwise we won't get job.
