The campus life is amazing but with time it gets boring because the college is situated very far away from the city. The new campus has an amazing infrastructure and hostel life as you all know is very amazing and full of excitement. The college has one of the biggest maritime library in Asia. There are a lot of clubs in the campus such as music and dance, trekking, book enthu club, nature club, art and craft etc. There is an annual fest known as "SRESTHAA''. Although there is a playground but its under process of development the sports fascilities is very poor. But other extracurricular activities are the real fun (house games, leagues) etc. The library is open from 7 am till 8 pm at night. You can borrow books or read in the library. The atmosphere in the library is very studious and peaceful.
The hostel infrastructure is very good but the meal quality is average. The menu is basically south infkuenced idli, dosa, uttapam, upma, parathas, bread butter, chole bhature in the breakfast. There is non veg on friday, saturday, sunday, monday and on remaining days you get veg. Breakfast (8-9:30) , lunch (12:30-2) , evening snacks (5-6) and Dinner (8-9:30) are provided in the mess.

Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.
The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.
Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.
The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month. The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.
In my college, the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.
Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.
