My experience at Chandigarh

- College is good with multiple green areas, canteens grounds and sitting place .though it feels so hot while power outage as there are no inverters and also there are good amount of labs with sufficient apparatus.
Dislikes
- admission process in my experience wasn't good as when I contacted them they told me that seat is available in b pharmacy but when I reached college they started forcing me for biotechnology instead of b pharmacy and informed that there is not seat for pharmacy despite there admission cell themselves called me and told me to come college as seat is available.they made me to come and visit for various time just for admission in single campus staff don't know whether the seats are available or not
- One person says that seat is available for admission while at the same time other says that there is not seat .they called me that seat is available you can come or take an admission in b pharmacy but when I reached college they started convincing me for biotechnology and teacher there was guaranting me that I will get 101%placement etc etc .
Remarks :
I have chosen this college because it was affordable and also having good name .the college was close to my house.i am a day scholar and I travel from home to college through college bus.i haven't faced any group discussion,interview and test for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose b pharmacy because it was the only best course in my knowledge other than mbbs in medical line. There are practicals conducted everyday before lunch which is of 3 hrs duration after that 5 leactures are conducted daily .the faculty is nice and supportive all the teachers are supportive and they help in every way possible director and principal are also on round and they make sure and ask students even if there is any need of something
Internships Opportunities :
Various internships are available but I haven't enrolled in any I have joined the whatsapp group which was told by my cc to join and everyone joined that that group posted multiple internships by Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys some internship were offering about 15k also
Placement Experience :
I am in first year so I don't know much about placement but yes attendance and zero supply is given priority for placement,,,,,and yes I amhave been added in a group where various internship opportunities are given offering work from home and on stipend base also.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly fees for B-Pharmacy in chandigarh group of pharmacy is around 1 lakh 28 thousand and uniform fees is 2500rs which was paid during the admission. And semester fees is around 62 to 64k.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is better than I expected campus I'd good with multiple green area,seminar hall in each block one big auditorium and multiple canteens and hostel along with 2 atm.everything is good but I think some of the blocks give the feel like hospital and also there is no inverters if in case poweroutage .there is also a lift in blocks , and yess there are many events that are conducted by various clubs and recently had an seminar by experts on suicide datly and today also there was a eye checkup camp .and after fewndays I have heard ashneer grover is coming for a conference

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
