The factors that made me choose pes over other collages were the gym facilities provided. We have a two storey gym for both cardio and weight exercises another thing that made me choose pes was the wide options for design as there are three variations of it
I choose design so I can diversify my potential as an artist and work on my portfolio which is very much encouraged in our collage. All faculties have their masters and are great at what they do, even our visiting faculties are amazing at what they teach. Our exams work like this , two internals isa 1 and 2 and the end sem exam esa and all of them are submissions of work done either in class or instructed to outside of class
I haven’t opted any internships yet but I am freelancing for few companies over the past 4-5 months and that’s because of friends and connections i made through my classes and college experiences which is great.
Not sure about that as I am a design student and we primarily don’t have placements from college but we can apply for internships and other jobs while doing our course and it is encouraged to get them as well in college. I am very sure that after the course I am doing I will be employed as I am already doing freelance works and after my degree in design I will practice on my filmmaking skills and work towards getting in the industry
Fees paid per year for b.design is 3 lakh 60 thousand and the scholarship includes 50% off a years fee if your above the cgpa of 8 and full four years fee returned if maintained a 9 cgpa and above making it easy for any student to get a minimum amount discounted off the original price
There are a lot of fest one of the biggest one is called athmatrisha were bands and celebrities are called on to be guests of honour and this usually happens in January or April. Libraries and books are available almost at every corner we have a main library in the biggest block called golden jubilee block where it’s made for the students to use frequently and we have a silent reflection room on to of our BE block where you can study in complete silence. There are a lot of groups you can join according to your preferences, one of the main groups are called HOPES and they run the media and other social media works for the college.
I used to stay in the hostel when I came here for the first time and it wasn’t the best experience but overall didn’t affect me much. Hostel here will cost you around 1.3lakhs for a year and there are 3 blocks to choose from IT,NB an NBX where if you get lucky you can get NBX as it is the newer block and has attached bathrooms where in IT its common washrooms and the rent per year is 1 lakh only. Food in hostel is mediocre but there are 3 different messes catering to different food types like namdari mess which is pure veg and food court mess which servers both veg and non veg daily and then the hostel mess where there is a time table for veg and non veg and you don’t completely get to choose which mess because it’s first come first served. Now I live in a pg outside of pes
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
