- The campus has a developed infrastructure, campus life is vibrant and provides exposure. Faculty is kind and approachable.
Remarks :
Good factors include diversity, lush campus, hostel and mess faculties and exposure. Downside includes the party and drug reputation and the student suicide rate. Admission process into MIT includes a written test called the "Manipal Entrance Test", abbreviated to MET. Students can take the test twice a year and the higher score is considered for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the course of Electronics and Instrumentation as it is a diverse branch and involves applications in many fields. Course content provided by the professors is not enough and students often have to refer to you tube and other sources to do well in their exams. Examination process includes a mid term exam and the end Sem exam. The two are spaced out well giving students ample time to prepare for the examination.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placements is a cgpa above 7. Various recruiters are Amazon, Wipro, LnT and various other engineering companies. However the employment opportunities for my particular branch of "Electronics and Instrumentation" seem bleak as only a handful were placed last year. Thus i plan to take up higher studies after completing my course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee structure is different for different courses, CSE branches having a greater fee. Mahe Academy Of Higher Education provides various scholarships for its undergraduate and post graduate students including the "Scholarship for meritous girls" , "HBSF-MAHE EduEmpower Scholarship".
Campus Life :
The social life at MIT is buzzing with open mic events held often and its two main fests held every year. "Tech tatva" as the name suggests is the technical fest and is held during the month of October. Revels the cultural fest and the most happening event in MAHE is held in the first few months of the year. Lectures are recorded and uploaded on a platform called impartus. The student Projects such as "Formula Manipal" and "Thrust MIT" represent the college at various domestic and international events.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel fee varies depending on the grade of the room. The rooms are comfortable and are categorized into ac/non ac and also single/double/triple occupancy. Food provided at the mess becomes repetitive and students often tend to eat out or block their mess card on a temporary basis.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
