The fact that it comes under Punjabi University Patiala, is a renowned institution in my region and not too far away from my home makes me decide to choose this institution. It has no written tests for admission and the cut off was around 55%. The admission process is pretty simple and the staff is friendly too.
I chose this course because i needed to choose something related to computer knowledge as it is my main field of interest. The staff is highly qualified with each teacher holding more than 8 years of experience. Exams are at the moderate level and are conducted by Punjabi University Patiala. The only flaw I face is that there are 130+ students in my class and the lecture is held in a single room. The college should divide BCA - 1 in two sections.
I have not taken any internship yet but as I mentioned, they have tied up with internshala platform and bright students recieve internship offers through email as well as through college teachers references.
Currently no placement is offered directly from the college but our college has tie ups with internshala, so talented scholars can surely take an advantage from that. I am personally planning to get an internship from there too, to gain some experience and apply for MNCs after the degree
Firstly, Rs. 300 is the fees for getting an admission form with booklet of details. There is no admission fees but you have to pay at least Rs. 5000 from the total fees of 28000. There are scholarships for lower class people with good marks, and even for physically challenged students. Then we have to pay the university fees before the exams.
I would rate this a 10/10. Campus is just amazing. There are multiple labs for practicals, a library with huge collection of books, including the subject books as well as literature ones. Library even has entry system which just scans your id card. Many sports such as Basketball, Football, Boxing, Netball etc. are held at the campus. I personally like music a lot and there is a music room with almost all good quality instruments. The college promotes NSS a lot and many of the camps are held at that, providing a sense of spirituality and social service. There are many more facilities in the college campus such as a temple, canteen, park etc.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
