There is no separate entrance exam for BBA LLB in MAIMS. IP University considers CLAT scores and on the basis of this exam it allots seat. In the counselling process, there are 3 rounds in which the cutoff ranks are released by the University. After round 3 there is one more last chance in which the person can still get seat on vacancy basis. The student also has to fill the preference list of colleges in which he want to take admission. There are no group discussion personal interview like things for admission.
First of all I was thinking of pursuing 3 year bcom program from DU and after graduating a 3 year LLB course. Some of my senior said that it will be better to pursue a 5 year program rather than giving 1 extra year for LLB . I had commerce stream in school, so I took BBA with llb as it was easy for me to understand business subjects. If a person had science or arts , then he should think many times before choosing BBA as it will be difficult for him to understand accounting and Economics related topics. Now I'll share my honest feedback about faculty of this college. The faculty is good here, professors are well qualified, some of them have done PhD llm from NLUs also. Only some teachers are really helpful in clearing doubts otherwise most of the them just want to finish the syllabus before the exams. Overall it's good but not outstanding.
There are a lot of internship opportunities that were offered to students. In the end of 3rd year, placement committee invites Firms to offer internship to law students. some students get internship in HC and SC by their personal connection or there relatives and some of them apply in online mode. A 2-3 day internship camp is conducted in the college premises in which students give interviews and present their CV resume for internship. By chance if you are out of station or not present at that time, you could apply somewhere else there are many legal websites like lawbhoomi, legally flawless, Law foyer, etc.
On campus placement is there in the college. Many firms and companies visited the campus and recruited talented students. Not all students get placed, only those get jobs who performed well In academics and extra curricular or they had previously done internships in good firms. Afterall it's a private law college not a NLU so average package is around 5-6 lpa and highest could go upto 10 lpa. 20-30% students get placed every year because the positions and jobs are limited so the recruiters will select only some skilled students. Past recruiters - 1) EY 2) SBI 3) American express 4) Credo Advocates 5) ARENESS 6) CAPEX LEGAL 7) Singhania and partners
Yearly fees - 105400, scholarship is there for SC/ST/OBC students. Notice is circulated by the class mentors otherwise you can also check on MAIMS official site. Amount for locking the seat is 50 k. By paying this charge your seat will be confirmed and after that the student needs to complete some formalities for his/her admission by visiting the college premises. For participating in counselling process, the person needs to pay registration fees of 1500 or 2000 which he/she can find out in GGSIPU official website.
There are many college societies in which you can become a member or work for it and in return you will get many perks and benefits. Fests happens here in which many singers, entrepreneurs, politicians, Artists come. In February month, a special fest is organised by IP University main campus in which students of almost all IPU colleges come. A separate Library is present for law students in which you can issue any books. In the 1st year, you have to pay 6k for it and then you will get your library card and it is refundable also. Sports activities are conducted by the IP University, Trial happens in the campus for different sports for which notice is already circulated in advance. The crowd of the campus is average, many violent fights happens and some students were also suspended for some days. Afterall, the college Is In Delhi and I don't need to explain further in detail.
I stay in a PG near the college so I don't have much idea about hostel food and rooms but some of my friends stay there. You can simply visit the college and see the rooms and charges of it. Most of the students stay in PG because hostel charges are too much. If you can afford it, then you can live in a hostel but it will be good if you visit the nearby PGs also which will give u a lot of clarity.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
