SP Pillai College of engineering is an autonomous college and the first college in Navi Mumbai which got the status of a autominity and have the biggest festival in Mumbai named Algeria and the admission process is smoth having cut off of 74 percentile.
As the electronics and telecommunication is the fastest growing industry thats why i choose this industry and as in comming years there will be semiconductor industry introduced to india so there will be boom in the industry of semiconductor and this the electronic and telecommunications engineering will be required in a large scale and the faculty is awesome they try to make things easy to learn as the Mumbai University still follows the olden outdated methods of teaching but as pillai being an autonomous college they prepare there curriculum by there own with the requirements of the current industry
I have still not opted for internship but now i was appearing for the exams the stipend amount which was decided was 10000 for q month of internship and is basd on vlsi chip design which is too provided by the college
The placement is great as pillai is having there own placement cell which is tpc traning and placement cell which refer students for different internships for making there cv outstanding and training is given for that and many companies do come in pillai as the record is of 32 lpa from Flipkart
The total feese for 1 year is 137000 in which if we want we can pay in installments or directly full feese and can apply for the scholarship which is provided by government and private sectors too the feese may differ for other cources and for different cast as the feese of sc castis 4000 rupees only for a year
The campus life is awesome and joyfull there are some of the other events happening every day as in Pillai you can find people from different branches and cources and from management too so you find interesting to meet new people interact with them and try to learn something from them there are seminars arranged too for stress management and for every small thing which a student should now for which he can feel easy while he is entering the industry.
I have bot opted dor hostel but my friends who are living in hostel they use to say that the food is tasty the main cleanliness is kept everywhere and the security to too tight like no one is allowed after 9 and some of the work has to be done by our own
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
