One can get admission in Cummins College of Engineering either through JEE Mains or through MHCET. There are special seats reserved for students from Jammu & Kashmir known as JKPMSSS in which students have to pay 0 academic fee. They only need to pay the university fee in the first year which is refundable and exam fee of 300.0
Curriculum is designed as per the industry standards. In a semester, we have 3 exams, out of which 2 are in semesters and 1 is end semester. Alongwith this , we also have our external practicals which are quite easy to pass if you pay full attention to whatever is taught.
The placements and internship opportunities are great in college. We have companies such as Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank , SAP coming for internships as well as placement. The highest package for last year was 50 LPA which was in microsoft.
The total fees for Open category is 178525 including tuition fee of Rs. 152174, development fees of Rs. 22826, University fees of Rs. 525 and Exam fees of Rs. 3000. One can avail some fee weaver through various scholarships and schemes such as PMSSS, VJ/NT/SBC/TFWS etc.
There are various student clubs including Avatri- the Ar/Vr Club, Math club , Code club etc which the students can join so as to do something apart from their regular curriculum. The college has 4 buildings:- one common building for Computer and ENTC branch, one for mechanical, one for IT and one for Instrumentation and control. The college also has 3 auditoriums which are fully air-conditioned.
The college has its own hostel named Baya Karve Hostel. The rooms have triple sharing and common washrooms which are very clean. Talking about the food, the hostel has 4 mess and a student can opt for any of the 4 mess. The food is really nice .
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
