Hello everyone, Cummins is a very well-known girls' college in Pune. here you can get admission through mhtcet and Jee, mhtcet rank must be below 5000 for computer engineering, and Jee percentile must be above 92 for the same, tuition fee of Cummins is 172000 and the hostel fee goes up to 1,10,000 fees quite high, but placements here are good, fests are also engaged in good amount, faculties are good, the area around the college is beautiful, also there is Greenery in the college campus. also, I didn't face any group discussions, interviews, or written tests for admission, I got admission through mhtcet, and my rank was 4009.
So the college fee is 172000, that of the hostel is 1,10,000. As it is an autonomous college all the subjects you are learning academically are very relevant to your course, there are three exams in a sem, t1, t2 and end sem, which is good because they are enough and if there are more exams it will just consume your time for unnecessary things you can then apply for many government scholarships only if you don't take admission through spot round, faculties are decent. Some teachers are very good, I was very interested in coding this I chose this course. I will recommend you to take admission if you fit in the merit.
Right now I haven't opted for any kind of internship but of course, I am preparing for some also we are allowed to do many group/individual projects from our first sem. For detailed things once do visit the college website.
Here you can start with some courses from the first year but about internships you apply once you're ready for the work companies asking for, many girls get internships in their 3rd year, and placements are very good you can visit the college website for exact numbers.
Many fests are conducted here starting from freshers, then dahi handi, garba, Gandhara is the best huge and beautiful cultural fest it's a 4-day fest, then innovation is a technical fest conducted for two days, sports were also there, the infrastructure of the college is very good well maintained, the library is very very huge and you will get all the books needed for your entire graduation there, we also have reading halls, silent zones. Hostel rooms are decent and the food is also decent also the college is surrounded by many other private hostels you can live there too.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
