If you score less than 75% in 10+2 and less than 50% in JEE then also you can get admission depending on available seats in the course you are choosing.
I chose Automotive Engineering with ARAI - Specialisation in Electric Vehicles. As this course is in collaboration with ARAI (Automotive Research Association India) which is the best recognised standard setting company in India for vehicles, it was the best opportunity available near my home so I had to choose it. Course Curriculum is too good to be real as it is all practical and necessary knowledge every engineer mist have. Faculties are good for teaching but also the bad thing is that they don't care how you are performing. They will not care what you do and what you don't. They just give marks and evalute you without any guidance. That guidace is only available if you approach yourself to the faculty which you may never find in their offices. Faculties are mostly P.Hd + teachers. Exams are conducted very fast, you won't even see them coming. 6 month sester ends in 4 months which makes it harder for slow learners to catch up.
Placements are actually good here. Recently a person with 22 backs got placed for 4LPA and if you are good at academics as well as practicals, it's an easy placement. But for CSE due to high strength it will be too much difficult. Better not get CSE until it's your passion.
As far as I know there is no scholarship kind of thing here. Including hostel fees it will me 3.32 Lakhs to 4.68 Lakhs. This fees is including hostel and academic fees (2 lakhs - 2.2 lakhs) per year (2 semesters). Academic fees increases by 10k every year as far as I know and hostel fees increases by 10-20k. In starting everyone has to buy uniform which in 2023 was 9000 and for 2024 it is 10500. There is no additional fees for any lab, visits etc. If you participate in clubs and activities which are not related to academics then the charges may apply. Inside the campus food is very expensive if you are thinking to eat there everyday and there is no paid mess kinda thing if you are thinking to opt for one.
Social life is disgusting here, people are mostly couples who can be seen in campus. Very few groups can be seen. Library is full of books. They are always available. Sports facilities and infrastructure is good but for most of them you'll have to pay.
Hostel is very very expensive but also like a 3-Star hotel. Every facility is provided like laundary (not good), Mess (average food) etc.. Fees is rising every semester by 10k-20k. Nearest available P.G is also 6km from campus. If you can get your own vehicle you won't face any problem but if you can't then you'll have Autos available which are kinda bad for everyday travelling. P.Gs are also expensive but still cheaper than hostel. Get a hostel than P.G or if you can get a room at rent that will be the best option here. Too many restrictions in hostel. You can't live a life in hostel, only drinking drugs and fun with friends which also comes with a heck of fine.
College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year
Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job
I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.
Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs
placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil
Placements are average on comparison with other private colleges around here Highest package this year - 11.3Lpa The teachers help very much in placements and internship . The TPC cell of the college is dead for their work
The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro, hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.
There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.
The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
