Likes
- On of the few things i like is the infrastructure, the lecture halls are really comfortable with proper air conditioning according to the season(heated in winters)
- Another thing i like is the large variety of available food cuisines. You have many options available in terms of food.
Dislikes
- Personally i really dislike the fact that there are no special fests for day scholars as much as there are for hostellers. There is just a freshers party on which the bus facility is there otherwise every other night event is for hostellers only.
- Another thing that i dont like is that the canteen is overcrowded, sometimes you dont even get a chair to sit, but it depends person to person, some people like crowds some dont.
Remarks :
The main reason why i joined this institute was that it was near to my home. Also CS placements in Chitkara are much better than other private colleges in punjab. Chitkara really cares about the academic needs of students and provide them the best quality.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course is BE in Computer Science Engineering. In first year you study the basics of programming, Digital electronics, Calculus, Advanced calculus, Modern physics and some core CS subjects like Operating Systems and Source code management. Second year onwards the focus shifts to DSA and Development. You study OOPs, DSA, Frontend Web Development and core CS subjects like CN, DBMS, Computer Architecture. In third year you have specialization courses like Full Stack Dev, iOS development and a UCA (University Coding Academy) Batch, in which teachers who work in the industry teach you.
Internships Opportunities :
Personally i've not applied for any internships as of now but some students in my batch have applied and got the offers, 3 students selected in JP Morgan, 3 in Microsoft, and 1 in Google as SDE Interns.
Placement Experience :
Although the placement totally depends on the individual skills of the student, still the placement opportunities in Chitkara are decent. Many good companies come on campus like Juspay, Scaler, Transunion etc. Also there are special opportunities for the top 100 students(according to CGPA), in our batch they were given an opportunity to apply for Microsoft as SDE Intern. And 3 students cleared it and are selected for Microsoft's 2025 summer internship. There are many opportunities for you here in Chitkara but only if you have that passion and put in the effort.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Semester fee for the 2022 batch is 85,000 which sums up to 1,70,000 per year. Additionally if you need hostel facility or transport facility that will have additional charges, bus fee is around 35k per year, but it depends on the distance over which you commute.
Campus Life :
College infrastructure is nice. There are multiple places to eat. There is a sportorium which has almost every sport, be it indoor or outdoor. There are tournaments organized regularly, like of which i know the cricket tournament is organized every year feb-march. The library is also really nice, really spacious. Almost every book needed in the curriculum is available in the library. Talking about fests, Freshers party is organized every year around september to october(depends on when the course of first year starts). Also there are Pitaara Premier Nights organized every year in which Punjabi celebrities come and perform, eg this year(2024) Parmish Verma came to the college.

Placement Experience :
College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

Placements are average on comparison with other private colleges around here Highest package this year - 11.3Lpa The teachers help very much in placements and internship . The TPC cell of the college is dead for their work

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
