There is no criteria or exams for admission, no cut-off nothing. I chose this college because of its placement rate, which they say they provides 99%, which is kind of true, many startups and good big companies visit this campus for hiring. Learning is almost self-learning, like special course and lectures and placement training is provided. One thing that they lacks is study material, they as such don’t provide any material. You have to go through documentation online.
Course curriculum i would say, is prepared very well, like being a computer science student, they teaches you technical and coding from day 1 and keep focusing on that till the end. Every week they took exams either online or offline. Faculty members are well qualified. Special trainers are assigned to 3-4 year students. They provide specialisation courses in 3rd year according to your preference. Exams are scheduled every month every week. Like FAs, sessionals, vivas, practicals and end terms.
Yes this is my 2nd internship that i got through this college. Infosys was the first one, which was because of my specialisation i chose in 3rd year. Now i am currently intern at shipglobal as frontend developer. I had some good full stack and development projects and good rank in dsa.
Placement rate of chitkara is actually very good. They claim to provide 99% placement, which they actually do. Like I recently got placed in 7th sem. Almost 2000 out of 3000 are placed. Highest package is i guess approx 50 lpa. You must have strong technical and speaking skills to crack the interviews.
Only academic fee for one semester was 82,000 when i joined in 2021, admissions fees and registration fees was approximately 1500. There were no as such complementary fee for the additional courses. For AI students, fee at my time was 1,20,000. Other departments almost have same fee structure as of mine. There are no such scholarships or financial aid that are available as such. Very rare. Their fee increases almost 10,000 every year for new session/admissions. Like mine was 82k/semester for 4 years.
It is very enjoyable, learnable, fun life there. They have many technical as well as cultural clubs like dance, painting, singing, modelling, acting. Every month they conduct night DJ. Books are always available there in the library. There is special sportorium inside the campus which includes games like badminton, pool, chess, foose ball, carrom board and also courts for basketball, cricket, football, skating and volleyball. I would say chitkara is number one in extracurricular activities, like they keep on inviting actors, directors, singers, artists, novelists, journalists, CEOs. OSA(office of student affairs) run by students, all clubs come under this OSA unit.
Yes, i am a Hosteler. I would say their hostels are very neat and clean. Mess is also very big and food is like 7/10. Menu keep changing according to season. Locality for a room/Pg would be rajpura or banur or zirakpur
College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year
Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job
I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.
Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs
placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil
Placements are average on comparison with other private colleges around here Highest package this year - 11.3Lpa The teachers help very much in placements and internship . The TPC cell of the college is dead for their work
The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro, hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.
There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.
The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
