Choosing Chitkara Uni- Win or loss?

- infrastructure- the buildings are new and build with modern approach.
- Diverse range of courses available here makes it a good choice for all.
Dislikes
- People here are not so friendly and sometimes you may feel lost in here.
- The college is very strict with there rules and charges for every rule break. The restrictions makes you feel like you are in any boarding school or something.
Remarks :
The basic idea for choosing this college was because they were providing better placement opportunities from the other colleges/ universities. In addition to that the college has a good infrastructure.
Course Curriculum Overview :
So college is good however my experience is not so good maybe because i don't have enough friends yet because people are no so nice here. Talking about the faculty so you will see a diverse range of different people however the majority of faculty is from Punjab only. faculty is very qualified. Exams are on time and every month.
Internships Opportunities :
I am a first year student so can not comment over this , because internships starts from 4th year or by the end of the 3 year. The internships are not that well but that totally depends on the companies coming here
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are good enough that a smart guy can crack. The competition is high though so not all can be placed. The average packages are about 6-7 Lakhs and goes upto 25-30 according to the companies coming and can also go down till 3 Lpa.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So here we have being charged a tuition fee of 1 Lakh 20 thousand per semester which adds up to 2 Lakhs 40 thousand. moreover i pay for bus facility which costs 41,000 per year as of now and this may increase every year. We also need to purchase uniforms from the university at a price of around 10,000 for 10 t shirts and 3 hoodies.
Campus Life :
So the life here is bit chaotic because there are so many people that sometimes you will think like "ye main kaha aa gya" moment because in my experience it is very difficult to find positive people here. Talking about the fests, as enough events as you can think of. we have plenty of societies or clubs as one needs as per his/her interest. Like GFG, Open Source, ACM student chapter etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Day scholor so can not comment on the hostel facilities but the the overall buildings are very well structured so that won't be an issue if you are looking for a good hostel. Having PGs here are a bit difficult because this is not within a proper city are and the major cities are a bit far for students.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

Placements are average on comparison with other private colleges around here Highest package this year - 11.3Lpa The teachers help very much in placements and internship . The TPC cell of the college is dead for their work

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

Placement Experience :
There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
