This college is a Muslim college where majority of the students studying are Muslim so this was one of the main reasons why I chose this college the admission process was simple I applied for the college through cet cell and went to one of their affiliated colleges for document verification after which I directly was eligible to take admission in the college
Faculty is great the curriculum is the same followed by Mumbai University the course in itself is very time consuming and a full time commitment which demands alot of hard-work and perseverance if you want to excel in this field of work, you will have to sacrifice on your social life and sleep to keep up with your academics
Internship opportunities are great multiple companies come to offer internships in college which provides good placement and job offers this helps us gain ample of process experience and learn how to work in the professional world
In 4th year we get companies who come to our college to offer internships depending on your skill set and capabilities, normally wherever you intern you tend to work there after completion of your degree in the 5th year
Yearly fees is 1 lakh 50 thousand this covers all expenses including nasa which is an inter college design competition held every year which charges 20 thousand per student yearly and keeps happening throughout the year, if you are a Muslim student studying in the college you can get your annual income certificate made from your local tehsildar if your income is below 6 lakhs yearly you get 50 thousand off the the yearly fees each year, you can also apply for scholarship etc if your cgpa is 9+
The college mainly focuses on academics but they have a yearly fest called archfest as well as a yearly exhibition called apic as well as college plays many sports such as football cricket badminton etc, the friends you make on campus will be your only friends for the next 5 years as theres no time for social life
College has no hostel you have to arrange your own stay either by a pg or any external hostel which you can take in the surrounding areas of khar mahim bandra etc, this is one of the downside as the cost of living is very high
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
