Remarks :

The major factor which made me choose Christ University was the exposure we would receive. Students from all over India come and we can deal with various cultures and personalities. Moreover, the college is well-reputed and its NAAC accreditation is A+. There is the basic interview and simple entrance test students have to go through to get enrolled into the institution. The general cut-off for all courses is 55% on 12th boards which is a fair percentile. There was minimal preparation required for the exam, basic knowledge of the course would suffice. The faculty of the institution is well-accomplished and proficient in their respective subjects. An aspect which is generally looked down on is the lower number of holidays students receive and there are classes on Saturdays, except third Saturdays. Other than that the college helps students to hone their skills and create sharp and solid personalities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is designed in such a way that students get a comprehensive understanding on the topics and have insightful additions. Here, learning is given due importance than earning high marks. I chose this course mainly due to my likingness of the subjects and would like to join the political domain as my career. My faculty in the Department of International Studies. Political Science and History (ISPH) has earned their PhD and are highly qualified. They have in-depth knowledge and are extremely friendly and kind. They are ready to share knowledge at any point of time and ready for all kinds of questions. The term exams happen with extreme punctuality and range at a moderate difficulty level. It is not difficult to pass exams and general paper correction is slightly lenient. Due to the subjectivity of the subject, professors accept versatile opinions from students.

Internships Opportunities :

As I am fresher, I haven't joined any internship programs yet. But, students are required to do at least one internship per year. Generally, students find the internship programs by themselves or sometimes they get referred by their respective faculty to some organisations.

Placement Experience :

Placements are generally for this is less. About 10 students get recruited by companies like Reuters. My plan after my degree is to obtain master's in international studies and join the political affairs of the country.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The yearly fee paid by me being an NRI is 1,50,000 Lakhs. This is the fee inclusive of everything like tuition fees and caution deposit. The registration fee for students from all categories is an additional 5000 rupees along with their base fee structure for the 1st year. The course spans over four years, with the fourth year being honours. The fee for the 1st three years is 1.5 lakhs and the fourth year is 1.9 lakhs in the context of NRI students. For Kannadiga students, the fee is 81,000 for the first 3 years and 1.10 lakhs for the fourth year. For students from other Indian states, it is 1.01 Lakhs for the first 3 years and 1.3 Lakhs for the fourth year. For students from SAARC/AFRICA/PIO/OCI/ASEAN countries, it is 2,100 USD for the first 3 years and 3000 USD for the 4th year. For other foreign nationals, it is 2,500 USD for the first 3 years and 4,000 USD for the 4th year.

Campus Life :

Life at campus is hectic academically but phenomenal in the context of activities. There are a lot of clubs and associations like Student Welfare Office (SWO), Student Council, Centre for Social Action (CSA), Centre for Academic and Professional Support (CAPS), National Cadet Corps (NCC) and many more. All these clubs are run by the students themselves with minimal guidance from the faculty. Another attraction is the NCC provide up to 8 credits to the students and joining the Student Council is beneficial for one's resume. The 2 main fests are Darpan and Blossoms. Darpan is for the Odd semester and Blossoms is for the Even semester. The library of the institution is a Narnia in itself. Its a haven for academic books. The institution orders 56 different types of newspapers per day. There are various teams for various sports like cricket, basketball, football and many more.

Hostel Facilities :

There is a hostel for students in the Bangalore central campus. They have a separate hostel for boys and girls. Mess is not provided directly by the college, but is out sourced to a local catering service and is decent. The hostel is affordable when compared to outside PG rates. I am currently residing in a triple-sharing room which is provided with a bed along with a mattress, cupboard locker, and study table. The bathroom is shared and is cleaned every morning by the cleaners. The rooms are cleaned every alternate day. One huge problem is that students are not allowed to wash their clothes other than undergarments in the hostel, we are expected to give them to the hostel laundromat which does a terrible job is getting the dirt out or we can give them to laundries outside campus as well. Students are provided with basic amenities like the dining hall, study hall, basic kitchenettes like microwave and induction oven, fitness gym and chapel is there as well.

Quality Education In Minimal Fees

Placement Experience :

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
