I choose Christ University Bangalore because of it's reputation and a well known college for academic efficiency and holistic education. The way they focus on co curricular activities and nurtures students overall academic development and extracurricular development is such a amazing factor about Christ. The standard it keeps in all the academic and non academic activities and overall environment of the campus is appreciative. One negative aspect to point out is the university is too strict with everything and fines with most of the things. For getting in Christ for any course you have to do an interview which is pretty tough and acceptance rate of Christ is pretty competitive. For some courses you have to give an entrance exam as well followed by interview. You have to secure 60% above marks in 12th to be eligible for applying and but it's suggested to have more than 90% above marks to secure a smooth admission.
I choose my course because of my deep passion and love towards those subjects. All the faculty members are well qualified with a doctorate degree in the subject they specialise. For each sem there will be a mid term examination after first 3 months and the end semester examination at the end of the semester . And all students regardless of the course are assigned with various Continuous internal assessment which will be around 3 in a semester. Marks are calculated considering all these aspects.
Currently as I'm in my first semester I haven't opted for any internships but I'm looking forward to it. There are many internships available within the college itself and they will guide you for more internships opportunities.
Christ has wide variety of placement opportunities and many big companies come here for recruitment . The overall cgpa and performance in interview is most considered to get placed. The package for law school are around 8-16 lakhs per annum and it's different for various courses.
For Bachelor of arts in history political science and minor in economics the tution fee for a year is ?10100 and admission fee is ?5000 for indian residents. Students from Karnataka state has much more lower fees compared to students from other states. For Non resident indians the tution fee and admission fees is bit higher than regular Indian students. There's no merit based scholarships provided by the university on the basis of your 12th marks. Bachelor of arts is a course provided with least amount of tution fee and the amount gets higher on the basis of course. For law school the fees is from 2 lakhs and Bachelor of Science and commerce also has higher amount of fees.
Christ is known for it's extravagant co curricular activities. We have two fests in a year.one for each semester. In the first sem we have 'Darpan' and for second one we have 'Blossoms' . We have two libraries in main campus for UG and PG each with a knowledge center providing with e services. Well equipped and spacious library with lot of academic references and books. Christ has published many journals in many subjects. Also it provides with digital library named Knimbus and all the library activities and access for books can be done through University library website. There are many groups and clubs run by students themselves which compete each other for university fests. Nuts and bolts and Ad-hoc are some productions to name a few.
I have opted for university hostel. The infrastructure and cleanliness is amazing and well satisfactory. The hostel mess is optional and run by people from outside. The food is quality food within a decent rate. You can apply for hostel while processing the admission.
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
