As this a government college under delhi university is the most important factor that made me choose this course. Yes one need to give CUET exam that is cbt test. One gets college according to their marks.
According to my course one needs to study 6-7 subjects every semester. Out of which 3-4 subjects are the core one and rest one can select and study by thier choices from the options provided by the college faculty. The term exams are not so difficult. The teacher's while teaching in the classrooms during the lectures tell that this is important that is important. One who takes classes know what is important. Also the exams are mostly from last year question papers. They say semester is of 6 months but in delhi university it not from outside it looks like that but it's mainly of 4-5 months only.
Yes i have opted an internship but not from the college i myself found it on linkdin app. The compnay name was 'hiremi' . I was a HR intern their . That was a 1 month unpaid internship. They make us learn about new terms used in co-operate field especially for HR. We were given task to handel our junior team, conduct their meetings , make them do their task like posting on linkdin, solving their problems , reporting to our senior at the end of the day.
The placements of our college is horrible. Since i am a 3rd year student going to complete my 5th sem in December there is no information of interhsips or placements by the college. One has to look around themseleves for their further carrier . I myself have done 1 intership and finding other on my own using apps like linkdin, indeed , internshala . The google shows average package of our college as 5lakh but it's not true not fall for the trap. Till now there is no singel placement for this session.
There is no other fee . Annual fee of rupees 10k-12k is for bcom and for other courses it varies from 10k-15k. There is examination fee for every semester that is around 1200-2000. Students can get relaxtion in annual fees by filling a form and showing their certificates.
The infrastructure of the college is not so good , its decent according to a government college. Annually there is one fest for 2-3 days but that's also not good. It's get over at 8 pm mostly and the arrangements are not that good as i compare them to other colleges of Delhi University. In my 3rd year AC have been installed in some classrooms but still most of them are not in working condition. There are variety of societies in are colleges also , NCC, sports are also there. There are inter DU sport championship where different colleges compete amoung themselves for different sports like vollyball, basketball . Also there are elections every year for different postions under different parties like ABVP , happy club , NSUI and many more.
In most of the colleges of delhi University hostel facility is not there only in few it's present. Same way in my college there is no hostel facility. One needs to look outside for flats and pg. That are costly and pg just near the college ranges for 15k per bed in a 4 sharing room + electricity bill .
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
talking about placement opportunities many companies come to campus including google microsoft to core companies like texas instruments and bajaj giving a decent job opportunity. each one with a cgpa of more than 7 easily grasp job with pay of more than 12 lpa and people with decent cgpa of more than 8 grasp top jobs in the campus
