- Campus Life very good, get to learn about various things.
- Classes are AC equiped and teachers are warmly mannered.
Dislikes
- Timetable is quite disturbing. For eg class of VAC on Monday is from 8:00 to 9:00 thn we have 3 hrs gap for next class of core subject.
- Canteen foods are not up to the mark . Juices aur diluted with sugar.
Remarks :
The college has good faculty especially in english course professors are with great experience and available to clear all doubts related to the subject. Talking about the infrastructure, college is quite small but DU is famous for it's north campus and DRC is one of the college of North campus. Yet, college has AC / non-AC classrooms, wifi faculties giving to each department and an auditorium with the capacity of 1400 people. Talking about hostel , it's an average one . It provide average quality food , laundary faculty is quite slow but it is clean. Addmission process is by qualifying CUET exam after 12th . Cut off of current year for, genral/EWS:-97.5 OBC/kashmiri migrants:- 96.5 SC/ST/PwD:- 94.5 After qualifying the cut off through cuet score, the addmission process is very simple.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Choosing english was my 3rd priority as I had a soft corner for literature always. The faculty of English department is very nice, you will find them friendly and supportive. They are available for clearing your doubts related to the subjects. Exam's toughness level depends on the preparation done, but a noticing point is that noone fails in english if you attend the classes sincerely. The term examination happens timely and we don't have any mid-sem exams.
Internships Opportunities :
There are various internship program availed by the college's placement cell- VRIDHI . You need to register yourself to the cell to get added in the group where links for registration of all internships are provided. Companies such as Wipro, loreal , tradeshala, collegedunia, edsalhs and etc Expected stipend (if worked nicely) is upto 20000(approx).
Placement Experience :
Chances of campus placement is quite. Although, college's placement cell offers variety of internship where content writers are needed and english is one of the best for content writting though you can choose other interships as per your interests. If not getting campus placement then you can get job of a teacher, can be a fluent translator, job of content writting and money other opportunities are present. Being a graduate of DU north campus is an advantage over all other graduates from different colleges.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees for the batch 2024-27/28 is 31750. However, the fees per year might get increased or decreased depends on the college. Student somewhat protests for charging such high amount being a central university also. Nevertheless, college also provide scholarship. Some of the scholarship's details are mentioned below * Pre matric scholarship scheme for minorities * Post matric scholarship scheme for minorities * Merit cum mean scholarship for professional and technical courses CS * Scholarship for top class education for students with disabilities * Post matric scholarship scheme for SC(all state) * Central sector scheme of scholarship for college and university students. College also have bank which provide education loan , but the interest rate is quite high than the normal. The division of fee structure has not been disclosed to the students. For all catagory students have paid same amount for fees , whereas PWD catagory students have paid 3000(approx) lesser.
Campus Life :
Campus Life of DU north campus is always excellent. DRC has lots of societies which works with different motives. The library facility is good but for english department availability of book is quite less in compared to other courses books. Classrooms are good enough, equipped with smart boards and projectors and AC. There are various student-run society and social groups such as Pehel, literati group, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Well I have not opted for hostel, but after talking to my classmates, I can hostel is an average going part. Mess food is fine but not excellent in taste. Laundary faculty are very slow. Students are not allowed to have any electronic items with them except their phones/tablets/laptops and their chargers(basically the applicances which take more units of electricity). Overall, it maintains a good decorum and quite strict.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
