- i don’t really like hostel mess food as i expect of more varieties.
- I think more shops should be there in hostel premises.
Remarks :
I was always motivated to be a doctor. Therefore i started preparing for entrance test NEET and i studied in chandigarh only. Therefore my dream college was always GMCH CHANDIGARH . By god’s grace, in my first attempt i got this college. Two types of counselling occur one is All india and other is state counselling. i appeared in state counselling.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Everyone knows that MBBS is a difficult course. Yes it is but it is id so much fun. You got to be taught by well known DOCTORS and this plays very important role in motivation. University exam is conducted yearly and in between 2 papers take place and through this we have to complete our internals. 50% internals are required and 75% attendence in theory and 80% attendence in practical. Every day for 4 hours we have our clinical postings where we interact with patients.
Internships Opportunities :
No, we are provided with internship. We will complete our internship and will appear in PG exam. We will choose our specialisation that can be anything clinical and non clinical. After that we will complete our residency.
Placement Experience :
No placements are there, since it’s a medical college. After 4 years of college we do internship for 365 days and we are given salary of 30000 per month. After that we will appear for PG exam and we chose a specialisation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for the college is 25000 and it is taken yearly and maximum time it is taken during september october month. We have option of UPI and card payment. It varies with category, general category has to pay 25000 and the students belonging to SC/ST category for them fees is 12500 and for NRI fees are collected for 5 years and that sums upto 80lacs for 5 years. The fees structure that spilts like Tuiton fees is 14400 Amalgated fund is 10000 University countination fees is 225 P.U alumni fund and schlorship fund is 35 College development council fund is 91 Student holiday home fund is 80 university sports fees is 225 University sports development fund is 50 Youth welfare fund is 102 World university service fund is 50 Property tax is 20 Youth and heritage culture fees is 8 Total add upto 25286
Campus Life :
We MBBS student also have social life. We are usually considered as nerd but we are not. Annually two events occur Plexus (intra college fest) and Euphoria. We do goes to party in club. Especially in chandigarh there are so many clubs and night life is very safe here. Sports day is conducted yearly during may and june. During college fest students are being appointed to run the fest.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel mess food is good. In breakfast they provide us with parantha 3 days a week, poha, uttpam, and eggs. You can even order for food of your choice. In lunch we are provided with Dal, rice, raita and veggies. In dinner, we are provided with chapatis, rice, dal, veggies and a sweet dish. Hostel rooms are good. To apply for it we have to fill a form and to provide address proof that we live 20km away from chandigarh.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
