- you could get a lot of exposure in this college considering the existence of multiple societies and the availability of sports for both boys and girls.
- the college administration is smooth and easy going. there is no major issue of any nature that won't get resolved within a few days.
Dislikes
- i think in terms of infrastructure, they could use a lot of white washing and re-painting the college in a nicer colour scheme.
- they could install air conditioners inside the classrooms.
Remarks :
the current admission criteria is your cuet scores. however, when i got enrolled, delhi university conducted the admissions through merit. so you had to do well in your class 12th board exams. i scores 90% in mine and had applied in zakir hussain college but since the seat were full by the time i applied and i was eligible still, they called me up and suggested that I'm eligible for maharaja agrasen as well and should take admission there otherwise i will miss out on a good opportunity. then we had a thorough discussion about whether this would be a wise decision or not, and then i decided that i should go for it. honestly, I'm not very disappointed. another factor that pushed me to take admission in this college was that regardless of whatever college you may be in, your degree will contain delhi university in it. a common degree is given pan all du colleges and since du is a central university, the degree holds credibility.
Course Curriculum Overview :
reason why i opted this course what that i wanted to study economics and english both and i was getting the two here. one very interesting thing i discovered in this college was that apart from the 2 subjects you've elected, you get to study 2 additional subjects every semester and they are usually a lot of fun and come in handy when you seek internships because since you get graded in them, you can mention them on your cv too. the professors are really good in our college. they're all (except one woman who i can't name because I'm yet to collect my character certificate and degree from college) very polite, flexible, helpful and will help you out in whatever way they can, provided you ask for it. for the longest time i had no time what was going on in the classes until i asked my professors for help which i was a bit reluctant to do in the beginning. but they came through and things became easier to navigate.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
annual fees is 16k+ but usually below 17k depending upon the course you've opted. my subjects were economics and english, and this was the fee structure. there's a special programme run by the college under which students who can't afford the fees are granted concession. it is quite effective in my opinion. i don't think that the fees has increased much in the course of 3 years that i have spent in this college, to be honest. before every semester, an amount of 450 Rs. has to be paid for the registration. if you have a pending backlog to clear, you'll have to pay approximately 500 Rs. additionally.
Campus Life :
annual youth fests are conducted pan du in the months of march and april. apart from that also frequently a lot of functions happen including annual fresher's and farewell both official and unofficial and students of every batch are eligible to attend these events. we have a very elaborate library and the access is unlimited. you can even sit and study in the library if you want. there is one grievance committee in the college too and you could convey your grievances through the committee. youth elections are also recurrent annually and they work separately but they're also very resourceful and usually come through. the classrooms are average with average quality furniture but very tidy.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
