Likes
- I like that the college is serious about students future and makes constant efforts to improve and make their future brighter by providing them numerous opportunities. I also like the involvement and relationships of faculties with students and also the events and campus life of the college makes it wort living.
- The infrastructure and campus i really spacious and beautiful, from comfortable classrooms to clean and healthy canteen to big grounds for playing with sports facilities to a spacious nature filled campus has everything that a student requires.
Dislikes
- I dislike that sometimes there are over restrictions imposed and over strictness on the events and all that just spoils the whole mood. Sometime the college heads often don't listen to student issues and just stick to their rules that can be very frustrating and stressful for students.
- From Infrastructure point of view the only 3 drawbacks are a big ground 2 grounds are there but not that big then a large Airconditioned institute level inclined auditorium and Air condition facilities except that everything is fine and very well thoughtfully made.
Remarks :
My aim from beginning was to dive into this tech field of computers and hence i choose Engineering as my core field. I chose this college because it is very close to me and is one of the best nearby colleges that meet my needs and percentile criteria. I also chose this college because of its campus facilities and because it prioritizes the education of the students as the no. 1 priority. They are strict regarding the attendance and academics study. The college make sures students are disciplined and punctual with their work , nothing is given or taken for granted. I got into this college by the criteria of JEE Mains percentile and MHT CET percentile this are the criteria to get an admission in St. John College of Engineering and Management.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My aim from beginning was to dive into the field of technology and computers and hence i choose this field. The faculty at St john is very well qualified and supportive as well. Most of the faculties have a masters degree and a ton of experience of working and all the HOD's are PHD holders. The teaching method is traditional but highly affective. There are 2 IATs in each Sem that is IAT 1 and IAT 2 of each 20 marks. There are practical exams before end semester papers and all Mini Project presentation in each Sem and the difficulty level is moderate as everything is very well taught by the faculties and the portion is always completed before hand. PS- The comps faculties specially HOD are very strict and punctual about academics they want their work on time and very apt.
Internships Opportunities :
I have opted for internship which will start from the month of December at a startup in Andheri. College provides various internship opportunities to the students now few days back the principal has collaborated with foreign universities and companies of New Zealand and have given a great opportunity to students who want to go and explore abroad, similarly there are various such opportunities being provided by college to students on regular basis. Every Sem there is a mini project and for last year there is a major projects till now i have made 2 mini projects that have been implemented successfully, named Adventure Alert Web application and Real Estate Homex Web application.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placement is that you should not have any active KT and your average CGP of 8 sems should be above 6.5. The few recruiters that often visit our college are Infosys, TCS, Mapro and many more with various startups too. The highest package offered was Rs. !500000 to a CS student from a well reputed company. The percentage of students getting placed are 50 % approx. and keeps fluctuating every year as most of the other opt for higher studies and others don't meet the criteria. The placements are not best or great but are good according to college the only thing is the knowledge and skill of students matter college are giving their best to place students. My plans after getting degree is to pursue masters in data science and analysis.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am in Third year and the yearly fees i paid in first year was Rs 95,000 something but due to some reasons the fee was reduced from second year and from the past two years (i.e. in second & third year) i have paid a fee of Rs 71,228 yearly each for second and third year. There are various scholarships that students can avail to get fee concession, as i am from general category i opt for EBC scholarship in which the criteria is that the student should have an income certificate of the ongoing year and the yearly income of the family should be less than 8 lakh rupees and also the student should be a merit based student. Institute level students (i.e. the students that have taken admission by paying donation) can't apply for this schemes. So through this scholarship every year i get my half tuition fees back. The OBC , SC ,ST etc. category scholarships are also same just their fee is very less from beginning and still they can avail scholarship on those fees.
Campus Life :
The life at Campus is very fun there are tons of various events lined up in the calendar year so the students don't get bored as we start the academic year the first big event is the Youth festival that has various artistic cultural technical events and competition organized by the university of Mumbai. After this there are sports competitions organized monthly and sports and endurance training organized daily. There are various in Campus events like Garba night, Winter wonderland , Job fair, Science exhibition, freshers and farewell parties, NSS activities etc. There are 2 main fest of the engineering college namely PRASANG (cultural fest) and MEGALEIO (technical fest). PRASANG is organized in the month of January with yearly sports event organized with and MEGALEIO the biggest fest of the year is organized in the month of March. Now speaking of the library it is very huge and has tons of books with varied options so you don't have to look anywhere else for the books.
Hostel Facilities :
I stay at Boisar that is just 10-15 kms or just 2 stations away from Palghar the place where college is located so I don't stay at hostel and don't know about the mess but my few d=friends stay in hostel and from what i have heard the hostel facilities are pretty, it is very safe and peaceful. the food from mess is excellent as both are provided by the canteen so I personally can say the food taste and quality is way better and tastier than many colleges. Outside colleges there are also local restaurants with excellent food quallity and taste very nearby to colleges.

Placement Experience :
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Average college provide average facilities

Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.

engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.

there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.

The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
