- I like the faculty in this college there teaching methods are very good. And studying in a government and rank 1 college is very good
- I like the library very much one can get complete book for one semester which is very helpful I see in other colleges after some days they put fine but in this college no fine students in Last semester gave there after their results and get no fine
Dislikes
- In my time there is no canteen for day scholar.
- As this college is very old since 1923 the buildings have been damaged in rainy season water drops from roof
Remarks :
There is no exam for admission you have to apply through sams and select bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering. For computer science and it it takes above 80% mark for other more than 60% if you have reservations category then it might be different. And remember it is no 1 ranked government college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose civil engineering because I have an interest in designing and being an architecture. All the faculty of this college are well educated more faculty are ptgf means part time guest faculty the come after btech so it is good for students to understand them and their teaching methods. Exam is very difficult in this college there is no chance for copy there are 2 internal in one semester then semester exam . The internal exam are conducted like semester exam.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I have completed an internship in quality assurance division. You can take intership on your own choice and if you can't do that college will help you to do this . I have made it in my own then college send them a letter writing that our student is willing to do internship .
Placement Experience :
It also provide better placement for mechanical electrical etc branch. I didn't get a better placement but my friend who is mechanical student get a placement in metro railway. But you can get placement after completion there is a student group where details of placement are shared
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For first year the fee is 6300 and for second and 3rd year it is 5800 . It is for general student as I belongs to general category I paid this amount. And there is semester registration fee 600 per sem. No additional fee have to be pay. Various Scholarship are available I have applied for post matric scholarship in which I get 5000 rupees as I stayed in outside not in hostel . For hostel student scholarship amount is more and there is a scholarship for labour card students it also gives higher amount.
Campus Life :
It is a very good campus it covers a larger area . I don't know about fest because after corona there is strictly prohibited for fest but I attended freshers and it is very good. According to book there is a big library you can get your book for one semester and after that semester you submit and can bring the upper semester book and kept till semester exam.
Hostel Facilities :
I have not chosen for hostel but I know the hostel charge is 3000 per year and canteen charge is per day 100 and there is also a good option when you go home in leave you can stop your meal and pay at month end only the meal you attend. The food is very good I ate with my friend who stayed in hostel and I love the chilli Gobi . I stayed in rent near I love Cuttack. There is shared room at 1000 monthly but you have to prepare food with your roommate.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
