I honestly joined cuz my relatives gave the suggestion it's the oldest college in odisha (over a 100 years old) The education system seems pretty good the campus is very good too it's easy for you to blend in and studies and practical facilities are all available But the lecturers themselves ain't that good you the facilities are there but not functional for the most part the whole thing just feels pretty lackluster and lazy but if you truly want it you can crack it
I choose this course cuz I wanted to do engineering ofcourse The faculties have pretty good education qualification (professors, mtech, iitetc) The teaching methods are kinda lackluster but it's good for the most part Exam are like per semester 2 exams one internal assessment and one end sem exam Internal assessment are 5/10 hard and end sems are 8/10 for me atleast on difficulty level
So there are 2 semester in a year General students Admission 10200(5100 per semester) Exam registration 1200(600 per semester) Practicals , copies, books 3000(1500 approx per semester) Tfw sc st and other bcs Admission fees 6200(3100 per semester) Everything else more or less the same If you stay at hostels 6000 admission (3000) per semester 2400 per month for food no hostel charges
All the books you'll need throughout the course are available in the central library Every year a sports tournament is conducted between the all the branches in tons of varieties in sports after that an interschool sports is held called polyfest which is totally awesome Also a variety of cultural programmes are conducted every year which includes dance competitions singing competitions drawing essay debates and a bunch of other things The classrooms however are your typical classrooms with blackboards and chalk
The food of message is good now that I'm in 2nd year (7.5/10) The food of the first year wasn't that good(4/10)they however have changed something there so I don't know could be better For you to have a hostel first you need to fill a form during your college admission and then the authorities will choose who gets a room depending on their percentage in previous courses and distance of home ofcourse It's 3000 rupees per semester for admission and 2400 per month per food So yeah it's not that bad if you get the perfect roommates
After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
