- Infrastructure is good, but needs repairing, it gives a vibe of college of any film, it has a huge campus as well as huge playground which holds many sports events.
- Faculty for the departments are good, but it depends on the department, so not sure about all faculties
Dislikes
- ACs of many classes do not work which creates problem as classrooms are packed properly according to the AC
- Infrastructure also needs a good repairment.
Remarks :
There is only one test that is CUET to get admission in the Delhi University, the colleges are provided based on the preference list you give and your marks in CUET. I preferred history since for any humanities student, the first preference is Pol. Sci. , then history, I also gave my first preference for Pol. Sci. but didn't get it, and therefore I got my second preference as history. Subject choice purely depends on the student whether he/she wants to go in a particular field or do it just for the sake of graduation.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As I mentioned above, I have chosen history as my second option after Pol. Sci. There was no specific intention for chosing it. The history faculty of Khalsa is quite good, teachers are helpful, and if you are passionate they will be ready to help you further, there teaching method is also good, some teachers use projectors to make you understand the things.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I have not done any internship yet. Since my goal is not for internships and placements rather I have to prepare for Government Exams, particularly UPSC, therefore I have not tried to apply for any internship.
Placement Experience :
For, placements, we have the ignite cell, which provides internships (all types, all courses) for the students. I am not sure about the placements but as per college, they provide placements as well.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
After the implementation of CUET, there is only one fees for the college which is the annual course fees (it has been increased by DU from this year, after the increment, my fees for this year is 24180/-), there are no other charges for the academics, however you need to pay the examination fees of the university per semester (it is around 1000-1500 depending on the choice of papers). Our college also provides financial welfare schemes for the students (my friend got a concession of around 7000-8000/- last year for his economic backwardness). The procedure for these scholarship includes the filling of form, followed by scrutiny and then interview. Some students of other castes (SC/ST/PWBD) get concession in their fees by default as well. Khalsa College has higher fees than other colleges as it provides a big campus as well as it provides air conditioned classes.
Campus Life :
Life at the campus is good, there is a sikh crowd as well, but other than sikh people are also good in number. The annual fest is Lashkara which happens around Feb-March. The main singer at the event is mostly Punjabi, fest is literally crowded and best. Library also has a lot of books, most of the academic books are available in the library. Classrooms have ACs as well as projectors (not all classrooms have these, but many have) There are more than 30 societies, which have their own functions, events, each society is skill based and can provide you to brush up your skills.
Hostel Facilities :
Sorry, I have not opted for the hostel, but the girls hostel changes around 1 lakh rupees for an year and provides AC Rooms (ACs work for a particular time), food is also okay. Boys hostel is still not operational, it may start in some time.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
