- The colloge has beautiful gardens , auditorium, library
- The teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching was best.
Dislikes
- College infrastructure is not good. The washrooms are not in good conditions, which makes it harder for girls especially. Canteen prices are quite high. Water purifiers are not in good conditions.
- There is no medical room.I think which pose a serious issue cause these basic facilities should be available in college.
Remarks :
According to the current system of CUET examination you score a certain numbers it can be out of 800or 450 depends on the subject one has chosen while filling the cuet form . After that you will fill your college preference in CSAS site and then according to your cuet score you will get alloted the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
For political science the faculty of sgtb is quite good .The teaching quality is very good, and the teachers are very supportive. The faculty is amazing and well qualified. Thus , The academic experience in college is fundamentally different from that of school.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for any internship yet , however we do get opportunities for internship most of them requires payment from us ( which includes renowned companies such as vipro, POD etc ) and some are unpaid .
Placement Experience :
Internship Opportunities Across Streams Commerce and Science Streams: More internship opportunities are available due to high industry demand. BA Program and Honours Streams: Finding internships is more challenging, but opportunities do exist.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For ba political science the amount is going to be around 25,000rs ( per year ) ..as such additional fee will not be there except the semester examination fee which around 1500 it depends on the course and quota , mine was 1110 .
Campus Life :
Sgtb khalsa organises annual fest - lashkara in the month of feb- March. The college compromises of various club or societies such as NSS , confero , debates and discussion many more allowing students to explore and engagement in extra curriculum activities.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
