Review on MIT Manipal
Dislikes
- I really like the infrastructure and campus. But some amenities could be improved like covers on certain places to save us from getting wet in rain. And good food vendors inside campus.
Remarks :
To take Admission in MIT you need to write the MET entrance test held across India. There are no interviews taken. Cut off for CSE core was around 1500 rank in MET. And for other CS branches it goes upto 5000 (approx). And lower ranks for other branches.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose mechanical engineering because I like real life problems and physics. The faculties are all doctorate in their respective fields. They're teaching mainly revolves around how to write the exams. They're very research focused. There are two sets of exams one midsem and one endsem.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
At Manipal institute of technology, first year fees for CS and CS related branches ranges from 4.9L to 5.19L. For Non CS branches the first year fees ranges from 3.35L to 4.9L. The remaining fees for 3 years is around 15L for CS branches and 12L for Non CS branches. Scholarships depend on the gpa you score each semester. You need to be in top 5% of your branch to avail it.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is awesome. Something or the other always happens at the student plaza. Technical fests like TechTatva occurs during the months of October/November. And cultural fests like Revels in which singers like Mohit Chauhan, Javed Ali, Salim Sulaiman etc have performed. This happens during the months of February. Library has all kinds of books, very diverse, books are in good condition. There are many student projects and clubs that you can be a part of. I suggest you try each one of them and find your interests. But the campus security guards have a problem with the students. They don't let students sit at any sitting location inside campus. Their explanation is always "Director's order". The reason is unknown.
Hostel Facilities :
Hotel mess food is very bad. But you have no choice if you want something affordable. Hostel prices are reasonable. There are both AC rooms and non AC ones. Single and double sharing rooms. Attached and common bathrooms depending on the hostel you choose.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
MSc Physics at Christ

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
