The college is a State Government college and you get a bit of respect when you tell anyone that you are a student of a Government College secondly the College is autonomous which adds a plus point. Also, the cutoff for this college is comparatively low and you can get any branch in this college except for computer science below the 90 percentile
The course curriculum is good here the subject you get to study is well chosen for every branch, the academic stress is very low almost zero and all the permanent teaching staff is very well experienced as well well qualified. Non-permanent teachers also don't give you much academic stress and are very chill.
The College does not offer any internship opportunities, though an internship is mandatory to do for 6 weeks during the summer break or winter break. You have to find an internship on your own and provide the certificate to the college.
The placement in the college is not up to the mark. The placement cell tries to get as many companies as possible but unfortunately, they fail to do so and a student ends up getting unplaced. The Placement record of college is not very good. And the salary offered is also very low.
The Fees in the college are 83000 rupees per year for Open General, for OBC the fee is 43000 rupees, and for SC/ST the fee here is 800 rupees. Since it is the State Government College the scholarship you get is solely through Mahadbt and you get around 2500-2900 rupees in every 6 months once your scholarship form is approved.
The Campus is very small by small I mean really very small. All departments are fitted into one single building you get one reading hall, library, and civil department workshop outside that building but all the labs clubs and everything is tried to fit in one single building. You get drone club, mechanical club and some other participations at the time of fest.
The Hostels are good and cost only rupees 7400/- for the whole year. The Hostel rooms are on a sharing basis of 2 people in the room. But not everyone gets the hostel, The hostels are allotted only on a merit basis every year.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
