My experience with kumaun university

- I like cleanliness in college and the faculty members are also very supportive
- There are less children here, due to which the teachers focus on all the children.
Dislikes
- The water facility in my college is not that good and the washrooms are also quite dirty.
- The biggest problem is that no kind of sports are played here
Remarks :
I joined this college on the suggestion of my uncle Our interview for admission took place on the day of counselling. I was totally unprepared for the interview because I didn't aware about it but I give my best and interviewers also ask me about those questions which are from the 12th Course. That's why I get selected.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this college on my uncle's advice. There are some faulty PHD's too but most of them are non-PHD's . The teaching method is good, there are lectures every day and the teachers are also putting in a lot of effort so that no one fails. There is no fixed exam date or it may get shifted further.
Internships Opportunities :
Well, this is my first year in this college but my seniors have got internship here. I have chosen a professional course but no industry visit is provided here for that.y overall experience is not that much good with this college.
Placement Experience :
The placements are not that good and the job opportunities are less. Actually I don't know much about placements as I am still a fresher but as far as my seniors tell me, according to them the placements are very less.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Year wise fees are 50000 and our course is of 3 years then total fees will be 150000 There is no other extra fee here like registration fees, admission fees, lab fees, etc. National Scholarship Program is available for SC/ST children or those who fall below poverty line.
Campus Life :
The library in our college is quite big and it has books of different varieties but there are no activities like sports at all. There is no social group of students here and no website is being run by them.
Hostel Facilities :
I have taken a hostel but I will not suggest anyone to take a hostel because the food here is very bad and And these people do not focus on hygiene at all. I am now thinking of getting a room, it will suit me best and the food is also worth eating at the restaurant.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
