I have been living in Amritsar for a very long time and GNDU is the most reputed University in Amritsar. It has good placements and good environment and plenty of opportunities for extracurricular activities. My elder sister also completed her MCA from here only and she received a decent placement offer aswell.
GNDU has one of the best education faculty and teachers. We had major exams every 6 months and minor exams were after 3 months. Minor exams were of 30 marks and final exam was of 70. The avg marks of minor exams and marks of major exams were calculated for final marks
No internship programs within GNDU for last semester but teachers did gave plenty of opportunities for the same. I enrolled in VERON institute for internship in which I designed a website for food donation. It was not a paid internship, but generally students got around 10000-15000 for full internship period.
GNDU had a pretty good placement record. If any student is coring less than 60% overall then only they were not allowed for interviews, but most of the major MNCs visit GNDU for recruitment. Most of the students did scored more than 60% since one semester was internship which was easy to score.
One of friend had ST quota and other had a below poverty line quota. ST/SC/handicap ed received full refund and had to pay exam fees only that was 4500 per annum. BPL quota had to pay fees every alternate semester, around 60000.
GNDU is really good for events. There was annual function and every semester each department had there own festival. Every indian festival was celebrated. There was a Jashan festival which occurred every 3 years so that every one in their graduation course can participate at least once. Campus was of around 150 acres.
I lived near the university so I never opted for hostel or PG, but my friends did opted. Hostel cost was 100 per month and 60-70 bucks for meal which was not bad quality aa I have tried that. PGs costed around 6000 every month without food or 10000 per month with food.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
