Sad reality of Hotel Management in India

- Only thing I liked was the location and a few teachers who gave me real life knowledge for this cruel world.
- Apart from this there was nothing to be liked about you’ll get to know when you’ll not have any choice except to choose this University.
Dislikes
- Talking about infrastructure the campus is very small and also there is a gym of one room only which is only open for 2 hours because of which I gets over crowded.
Remarks :
I love food and that’s why I decided to do Hotel Management but choosing this college was not my decision it was all because of the entrance test taken by NCHMCT which provided this college on rank basis. Otherwise no one will ever choose these colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum was good and resourceful and teachers were also good but not all as there was a teacher who always taught us after smoking weed and it was clearly seen in his eyes that he was high. Also our student support had never supported us. No matter you call him or text him he doesn’t value you.But still there were few very very good teachers who are not there not as they became principal of other universities now, they were the best.
Internships Opportunities :
I got internship at Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport at 1500 stipend in which I cleaned rooms and bathrooms of hotel served food to guest as waiter helping guest check in and check out carrying their belongings nearly 30-40 kgs on trolley and also 20-30 rounds in a day no food provided by hotel to us no accommodation provided to us and even we were made to do over shifts daily to 18 hours.
Placement Experience :
Yes internships are provided by universitie in 3rd and 4th semester to the students in big 5 star hotels like Radisson, Le Meridian, Leela ambiance, etc. but the monthly stipend will be only 1500. And you’ll probably be taking a PG or accommodation near your hotel for around 10,000 per head. So you know how much you’ll be getting and still you have to pay for that semester full fees. Not talking about placement, during placement not many hotels came we mostly got placed in outlets like Haldiram Bikaner barbecue nation and small hotels at a salary package of 2,50,000/PA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Registration fees is 40000? which will be adjusted in first semester fees and hostel fees per semester is 40000 for single room and 35000 for dormitories and seriously dormitory is not safe for anyone. Tuition fees for one year goes to 1,50,000 which is also very expensive keeping in mind the resources we are getting. No proper food in hostel mess provided no WiFi provided only 2 hours provided for outdoor activities in weekdays. You have to clean your room by yourself,wash your clothes by yourself, you cannot cook your own food in hostel, you cannot bring food from outside if you bring and get caught your food will be thrown in dustbin and you’ll be made to wash dirty plates in hostel mess. Your belongings can get stolen from your room by staff as cameras are not working.
Campus Life :
There is no social life in college no club life no farewell party no degree college ceremony even ragging is arranged by teachers so that seniors can enjoy every student officially. We only got to Celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali , Holi and Lohri.
Hostel Facilities :
I took single room in hostel which costed me 80000? annually in which only a bed light and fan was provided to me. There is no washing machine in hostel and you are required to wash your clothes by hands also you have to clean your room by yourself no staff is assigned for this task in hostel. There are WiFi routers fixed everywhere in hostel but all are fake just for show and same goes for the camera.

Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
