Likes
- the peaceful and calm atmosphere without any noise or disturbances, and the overall decent facilities
- the environment that encourages one to study, as in this college there are many GATE aspirants, so it gives an environment to study for long hours.
Dislikes
- campus size is so small that it ends after a few meters walk
- lacks sports facilities, especially indoor sports facilities, like chess and carrom.
Remarks :
The college is not as I had expected before coming here. It lacks in many things, like the library is not novel and the college does not have enough facilities for different types of sports. Talking about the admission process, you can come to this college by both JEE mains scores and CGPET scores, but CGPET is given more preference than JEE mains. You can get this college if you get under 3000-4000 rank in CGPET. Also, there is management quota through which you can come
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is overall okay; you don't face any difficulties. The teachers here are mixed types, i.e., some are very young and have no teaching experience, and some are old with over 10–15 years of teaching experience. Some teachers methodology is good, and some even lack teaching skills. talking about the exams, they are taken in time as per the academic calendar of the college, and the difficulty level was so low—I mean, it was so easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship opportunities are there only for mechanical and civil branches due to the presence of BSP and other large industries here, but for branches like CSE and IT there are so few internships, and also they are not good.
Placement Experience :
According to seniors, they had difficulty finding employment because this college is not well-known, but some were able to find respectable positions. The few companies that hire from this college are TCS, Accenture, Cubelelo, and others are not well known companies. the placement for last year was 60%, the average package was of 5-6 lpa; the highest reached 16 lpa In this college, many students aim for the GATE exam instead of placement, and also these colleges produce many rankers in those exams, like in 2023, AIR-4 was from this college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The first semester fee was Rs. 40000 (including caution fee), and from then on it was Rs. 39000 (approx.) per semester. There is no scholarship provided by the college, but you can get the scholarship from state government if you are an ST/SC/OBC and have family annual income less than 2.5lakhs
Campus Life :
Social life here in this college is so boring. You don't get enough exposure to different things. Also, the college lacks many facilities, as told; the library doesn't have novels to read, can you imagine? the classroom are so old-looking , not up to mark The college does organize an annual fest called OJAS between the months of feb and March, but that event too is not energetic; all the fun needs to be brought from your side; the event doesn't excites you. In this college, for cricket, volleyball, and basketball, there are decent courts and grounds, but when it comes to badminton or any indoor game, the standards are below average. there are many clubs in the college that you can join, like, The technohub, the astroclub, the Vista club, the Lasya club, Bol Club, etc., and all the clubs are run by students themselves.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is not so good; the rooms are decent, but the corridor and other outside area of the hostel are so bad-looking. The hostel is the option you should choose if you want to have great bonds with seniors. Talking about the facilities it has are, 24/7 water supply and a bit slow wifi. PGs in this area are affordable and easy to find for both boys and girls; the rent of PGs here is around 2000–3000 per month (the electricity bill may or may not be included, varying on different PGs).

I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. Placement Experience :
Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
