- What I like about my university is that is situated a area where there is so much greenary. The infrastructure is also good they have hostel facility and library along with playground.
Dislikes
- What I don't like is that in university there is no system of vehicle for students
Remarks :
It is one of the good college in Assam. It is located in a rural area under Golaghat district hence it provides educational facility for the students who can't go to other areas or not able to go because of financial conditions and also the fee is not much in my college. Students get admission on the basis of their marks but my college recently opened the branch for masters in Assamese, History, English and political science and only for the masters course students had to pass the entrence exam held by the college authority
Course Curriculum Overview :
I like my subject from my school time hence I choose this subject . Our teachers were either NET or SLET cleared and some with PhD also . We have 2 sessional exam assignments for each paper and one seminar once a year and lastly the final exam
Internships Opportunities :
I didn't opted any internship. The internship is only available for the students of hospitality management and they get to apply internship in various hotels accross the state which I think would be very beneficial for them in terms of experience as well as placement and earning
Placement Experience :
There is the placement system in the university in the college every year a job fair is held were various companies came and take interview of students also our college have the course of hospitality management form which students were seen to be placed in various jobs
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee will free totally waived off if the income of the guardian is low then 2 lakh Fee for from fill of examination is 750 There is not much fee in my college as I came from a family with yearly income of less than 2 lakh I get free admission. Those with more than 2 lakh income there admission fee is more than 3000 and less than 4000
Campus Life :
It's very good.i live in a hostel which is located within the campus. there are 1 girls hostel and 1 boys hostel in the college .There are various fest which are conducted here like freshers, farewell and college week etc . And here we have a huge library and we have thousands of books journals and desertation papers done by students and research paper of the professors of college In classrooms we have the facility of Digital board used for lectures. Also in the university there are 1 big playground and a indoor stadium which includes gym also
Hostel Facilities :
Yes I do live in a hostel and the rooms in my hostel in double seated . During the time of admission top ranked students were given seats in the hostel and if you don't get hostel later they can apply and here the selection process is based on the income of guardian.The mess is good and monthly fees of mess is 500 only. Mess provide food of 3 times with evening tea

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
