I choose this college was due to its academic performance and job placement. I did not had to enter any exam to apply for this college. I was selected using the percentage criteria. No interview or such were taken for me to apply for this college. Though the college has best placement, it has a very poor facility for sports. The group is not maintained properly, no sports equipment, no safety, no encouragement for sports. There is also one issue I faced in the college was it's maintenance. There was no water facility when I first took admission in the college. The floor of one of the classroom was broken. No hygiene in bathroom area. Though the college tried to fix some of the problems.
There was new scheme when I was enrolled in the college. It was called as k scheme, in this scheme u get to learn all the basic of the subject that are included in ur course(like, mechanical, civil). The passing criteria in this new scheme was that, u had to score 40 out of 70 to pass the exam. And the average of the 2 units were added in ur term marks. This made it easier for us to pass. There are not many events in this college, and the sports encouragement is also low. Not many fun activities are encouraged in the college. The faculty are great and explain everything clearly. The problem I faced with faculty was the distance of communication, as I was weak in Marathi i couldn't communicate much the faculty as they spoke Marathi mostly rather then English.
I haven’t taken an internship at Government Polytechnic Pune yet, but from what I’ve heard, the college offers good opportunities through its placement cell. Though internships aren’t mandatory, the support for securing them is there, and many students have had positive experiences with industry internships.
The annual fee of the college is 6000 (excluding exam fee). U have to pay total of 6000 rupees per year on the online course registration website of the Government polytechnic college. You have to pay additional exam fee, depending upon if u have backlogs. The fee for exam registration is 1000 and additional if u have backlogs. Incase u have delayed in paying the fees, there extra charges applicable as punishment depending upon how late you are. I paid my fees real late!, due to which I had pay 7000 instead of 2000.
When I joined Government Polytechnic Pune, adjusting was tough, and it reflected in my low attendance. However, the campus has its strengths. The infrastructure is solid, with spacious classrooms, well-equipped labs, a large sports ground, and a library with ample resources. The auditorium and dedicated workshops enhance the learning experience, though maintenance of washrooms and the cafeteria could improve.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed

Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
