- There is no placement and job. And they never focus on this.
- There is nothing to dislike about the university other than placement.
Remarks :
Their is no group discussion, interview or Written test you have to face. It's a private organisation and anyone can get addmission. There is no test for scholarship also, it is totally based on your 12th marks.
Course Curriculum Overview :
B. Sc. Biotechnology is a good course but USTM does not have good laboratory for practical.The faculty members are very good and supportive. HOD is always available for any help you want. HODs always take advice from students for betterment of the Department
Internships Opportunities :
There is no internship facility for biotechnology students but for microbiology, the students have to do atleast 3-6 months of internship in their relevant field only then only they will receive their degree
Placement Experience :
No, for placements and job USTM is not a good option. There is no company visited when I was in college. The university administration asked to pursue higher studies for job. But as per my knowledge recently few students got placed from M.Sc Biotechnology and Microbiology department.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per semester fees is 33000 and examination fees is 3300, but the examination fees will vary every semester. And the addmission fees was 65000 approx including library change, hostel, sports and all. Their is scholarship available but it is dependent on the score of class 12, which should be more than 95% and the family annual income.
Campus Life :
The atmosphere inside the University campus is very good. There is no pollution and everywhere is greenary. The university always organises different events like some competition, guest lacture, music concert and trip.
Hostel Facilities :
USTM have 2 boys and 2 Girls hostel inside the campus. I was in SSB Hostel. The food was not very good but they provide nonveg everyday except Thursday. The infrastructure is also good. They provide 3 seater and 2 seater rooms. Every room have a bed, a chair and a study table. 24/7 security facility. You can apply for hostel at the time you take admission in the university. The admin member will ask whether you want hostel benefits or not.

The employment rate of my course is demanding so I opt this. Also there is campus opportunity for some courses available in the college. After biotechnology you can choose any profession like professor researcher etc .

Job opportunities from our college is not quite good, but our college is renowned for their excellence in commerce so employability after completion of course is not a big issue especially for me, i personally would like to get involved in financial sectors

Since it's a college affiliated under NEHU, so there's only graduation course here. But if you want to do masters you have go to NEHU for that. Only then you will get a good placement. But I had friends in other departments they were given the opportunity to sit for placement interview but again the package isn't as high as someone would get after post graduation.

Placement opportunities were not directly available but many companies and institutions scouted our students through seminars and programmes for further job after the degree. The package differed from student to student and they were offered individually to them so it was hard to know the exact number.

Since I’m still under graduation , I don’t know much about the placements here. But my plans after my graduation is to persue MBA from a good university. But as I’ve heard from my seniors, the placements here are quite good and many of the students grab the placement opportunities that are offered here.
