- College camous is picturesque and beautifull. Campus is near places like Shimla, Manali, Kasool etc.
- Most the weather is very good, you will not need cooler in the campus.
Dislikes
- College is in a remote so reaching the college is hectic procedure.
- Hostel food is not upto the par. There is also a problem of water shortage in the campus.
Remarks :
The admission in this college is on the basis of JEE mains examination. Then students have to register themselves on the JOSAA platform and they will be assigned this college on the basis of their choics and merit in the exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In each semester we had 4 exams ( 2 quizs, a midsem and a endsem). There was a75% attendance criteria in the college. Faculty to student ratio was poor but now it has been imporved as they have recruited some more teacher. Some teachers are very strict about attendance and some are chill.
Internships Opportunities :
Less number of companies give internships opportunities compare to placement opportunitis. Company like Reliance, Honda, Wells Fargo, Amazon(Now Banned NITH) and some more came for internships but they selected very less amount of students but they all got ppo. In my branch around 5% students got paid internship.
Placement Experience :
We get eligible for interships during 5th semeter and for placements during 7th semester. Companies like tata power, reliance, jio, larsen and turbo, noida power, exide, schneider electricals, mars, accenture, honda, maruti, jsw etc came to the campus. Highest package in my branch was around 15 lakhs and average package is around 8 lakhs. In 2024 around 70% students got placed. My plan after getting degree is to go for Masters program.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution Fees - 62500 Per Semester Hostel fees - 5000 per year mess fee - 25000 per semester one time institute fees - 13000 per semester institute fees - 21000 for sc/st/ph - no tution fees for people having income less than 5 lakhs thier tution fees is 20283
Campus Life :
NIT Hamirpur has 2 fest, one technical and one cultural. Nimbus, Technical fest, arranged in the month of March and Hillfair, cultural fest, arranged in the month of November. The college has a team of cricket, football, basketball, table tennis, chess, badminton etc. College has both technical and cultural societies and clubs.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel are less according to the number of students so rooms are congested because they are having more students. Each room has a table, chair, fan, bed and almirah. For first three years students will live in 3/4 occupancy rooms,. Bathroom are not maintained but they are cleaned regularly. Mess food is average, sometimes is good and sometimes it is uneatable.

Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.

I choose ba as I needed a bachelors degree to pursue llb . All the faculty members are highly qualified and well educated and every teacher has their own teaching method. The exams are conducted annually for BA which is not very difficult

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs

The placement opportunities are given by institute. There is a placement committee. A few visited recruiters are ICICI,HDFC, DE Shaw, Deloitte, EY, etc. the average package of IIM sirmaur ranges around 14-15 LPA. All students get placed and is supported by institute.

I got this based my JEE advanced rank. The faculty student ratio, typically between 15:1 and 20:1, allows for personalized attention and interaction. Faculty are well qualified for the job and their teaching methods are very good. The exams have a typical timeline and they are quite challenging to pass.
