I was born and brought up in mumbai and I didn't want to leave this city. This was the only college which provided MBA Tech course. It saves a year and the average package after graduation is also very acceptable. The college has amazing infrastructure providing everything that you may ever need and it attracts a lot of students. For admission you need to give the NMJEE exam conducted by NMIMS for it's engineering wing. There are 2 session of this exam and counseling is conducted after both sessions. The admission is very smooth and easy process. The better you do in the exam, the better chances you have. Other than the rank at this exam, your marks in boards is the only other thing that matter and the Cutoff is just 50%. The portion for the exam is similar to other competitive exam and it also includes english and logical reasoning sections. I personally didn't prepare much for this exam. It was very easy. Even getting into the college is very easy as long as you can pay the fees
Being a private college, the curriculum is better than any government or government aided college. It is upto date and very engaging for the students. It let's you have hands on experience on the topics making u fluet with it. Artificial intelligence is on the rise and choosing it right now seemed most appropriate but as the technical industry is a very fast paced industry, no one could know what would trend in next 5 years. The course not only specializes in AI but also tea he's you enough to do good in related fields. O. The other hand the faculty is very mediocre. Most teachers don't care about the students and even when complained, the HOD completely ignores students. Mrs Khusboo for PPS made this subject soo hard to understand that no one scored good. Most of the teachers didn't even complete the portion or give adequate notes to study. There are 2 midterms of 10 marks each and term end exams of 100 marks. The papers are lengthy but solvable if u study.
For MBA Tech, we have 2 internships we have to do compulsory throughout the course. The first one is a technical internship regarding the btech part of the course in 3rd year and 2nd kne in 5th year regarding the management part of the course. The college provides us with internship. Most of them are unpaid but if we want we can try to get internship by outside sources. There are paid internships too where you pay them to work with them which is also provided by college.
I haven't seen much but as far as I have heard from seniors and alumini I have contacted soo far have said only good things about it. As long as you do good in exams and don't get debarred, the college takes care of you. The average package after 5 years is about 13,00,000 per year which is very acceptable. The highest package isn't a lot but most of the students get good package.
The college fees is 5,25,000 for the first year with 25,000 increment every year. The college only includes the fees to use the infrastructure and provides the faculty. All the books and extra cost like apparatus needed for project, etc. Is not included in the fees at all. The admission is done by ranks of the exam conducted by nmims itself names nmjee. There are 2 session for the exam and counseling is done after each session. I don't know any students who have availed any kind of financial aids. I don't think so college provides financial aid to students who cannot afford fees. During admission, you are supposed to deposit the demand draft on the day of counseling itself and you cannot pay the fees in parts either. If you want to avail financial aid, you should look for general scholarships by government or NGOs which includes this college too. The fees for btech is 4,25,000 and the fees for engineering at other campus is more affordable compared to the mumbai campus.
For campus, all we get is a single building which is also shared by Anil Surendra Modi School Of Commerce and BBA students. But the infrastructure is top notch. Big classrooms, completely air conditioned college. Amazing library and labs with every apparatus, every kind of equipment for any kind of research, and a very good cafeteria. The library has a very good selection of hard copy of almost every book you may need but incase they don't have it, you can be sure that they'll have a soft copy of the latest copy you can access. Other than academics, there is no sports or music or anything close to them. All the clubs are course related. There are soo soo many fests that happen throughout the year all over nmims and every single fest is better than other one and gives you to best experience. The college life actually starts after college, being in juhu everything is close. Clubs, beaches, etc, anything you need is close by.
I have been born and brought up in mumbai itself but I have been in hostel and pgs of friends who stay. The hostel by nmims is okay. Its not very luxurious but gets the work done. However the pgs are very luxurious providing everything from gymnasium to good food to library and play area. They also have kitchens and provide pickup and drop service to and from college. Most students opted for either pgs or rented a flat and share it with their friends. Most people who have taken pgs pay around 6-8 lakh per year while people who have rented homes pay around 25-30k per month everything included.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
