there is a common entrance exam for admission in this college which is known as NPAT. It is out of 120 marks and is a 100 minutes test. You are allotted admission based on your rank in this particular exam, a higher rank leads to admission in the main campus, which is in Mumbai, otherwise, there are several other campuses all over India.
The course curriculum is broad and covers many subjects of finance such as financial accounting, cost, accounting, personal finance marketing. I chose this course because I want to pursue a career and finance and this course has a higher placement value. The qualification of the faculty is extremely high, and each faculty has immense knowledge about the subject. They are teaching. There are mid Sems and end sems which are conducted in total of twice a year. The difficulty level of exam is quite high.
internship is mandatory by college norms and in the second year. Every student has to complete an internship which is compulsory. This is either an NGO internship or internship within a company. The tasks are volunteering within a company or managing tasks such as company, marketing sales and keeping a check on tabular data of the company.
The eligibility criteria for placement is simply the completion of your course. Nmims is famous for their high packages, attracting several students, each year. The average package for BCom owners at nmims is nine lakhs per annum and the percentage of students getting placements is around 75%. There are several recruiters such as KPMG and Morgan Stanley. My plans after the degree is working with the company for one or two years to gain experience and then moving on for higher studies such as an MBA.
The course fee per year is 3,25,000. It does not increase every year and remains the same for all four years. The course is for four years, but there is a leave option after three years. The college does not provide scholarships as such and fees is to be submitted by the full amount.
Life is very social at nmims. There are several fests and clubs in the college and the college is famous for events organised by clubs such as Vaayu . The college has several clubs that students can join and there are several extra curricular activities on the campus and off campus. Students can post their profile through joining these clubs.
The college does not provide any hostel accommodation and students coming from out of station. I required to arrange the accommodation by themselves. There are several PG around the campus, all students stay there. You can also opt for a flat around the area, which is Juhu.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
