I was very much interested in pursuing economics as my bachelors. NMIMS had the best course structure. Written test was conducted which is common for all NMIMS courses. Cut off is high for Mumbai main campus.
Course curriculum is very nicely designed. It is very heavy and detailed. May seem hard to people who dont have command on mathematics and economics that much. A lot of other subjects are included too for general training. Faculties are all very qualified and are good at teaching their subjects.
Applied to a lot of internships. Best expirience was at Morgan Stanley. Good package with good job title. I worked in the Research department as a research intern. Gained a lot of knowledge and was motivated to work there post graduation.
Placement is good. A lot of MNCs and Mumbai’s big companies come there. You also get recognition if you apply somewhere on your own. The college prepared you for your working experience thoroughly. Internships are also compulsory every year.
Registration fee is for 5000(Refundable) when you book your seat initially. First year is 3,55,000(all inclusive). Second and third year are 3,15,000. There are no additional charges. The only other charges are for re-exams.
Campus is one building. It feels very much like a corporate setting. It is a nice artificial garden on the ground floor. The Canteen is excellent with very very good options. The library and Labs are all updated and fully operational.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
