The cut-off was between 70-75%, which aligned with my academic performance. Academic Reputation: The college is well-known for its focus on offering excellent faculty and curriculum.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have always been inclined toward chemistry and this course aligns perfectly with my interests. The course offers excellent job prospects and provides the necessary skills to thrive in chemistry.Teaching involves a mix of lectures, case studies, group discussions, and presentations, which makes the sessions engaging.
Internships Opportunities :
Once i went to IIT guwahati for a semiconductor based internship. Its was very helpful to meAn internship expands your professional network. Interns often report to mid- to senior-level positions. These mentors can help guide you and provide helpful advice for your career path. Plus, you will meet others within the company who have diverse work experience and professional connections.
Placement Experience :
College provides many types of internship, workshop etc. some of the paid or some free. These programs helps in the knowledge to acquire well.Alumni often share internship opportunities of our college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The annual fees structure vary on the stream. For science stream its around 5100rs however . You can claim benifits of 75% attendance and caste category College offers different types of NSP scholarship for students.
Campus Life :
The college campus is quite good in the college. Winter carnival, bihu celebration, freshers and many other events like sports week, internship, workshop, different types of competition are provided by the college.
Hostel Facilities :
Students can rent pg , no college hostel provided by the college Compared to renting an apartment alone, PGs are cost-effective, especially for students on a budget.Most PGs offer essential services like meals, laundry, and housekeeping, allowing students to focus on their studies.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
