Yes , I had an interview over a phone call. Factors which made me choose this college was- the technical learning it provides and they make you industry ready with the constant practical learning with personalised attention.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In journalism and mass communication we have new courses every semester which comprises areas related to marketing , communication and journalism with their technical skills like; camera handling, editing etc. Their are excellent faculties present in our college with the experience of Industry related to Their expertise while the journalism department remain as an exception. Though at a greater advantage we have all the Industry level software and equipment in our college with the Studios to make students Industry ready . We have 6 semesters in B.A. (1 sem -6 months) in every semester we have a Viva , a mid sem examination and an end semester examination. With the assignments and practicals we have to submit which is compulsory to qualify for the next semester.
Internships Opportunities :
No , currently iam in semester 3rd so I haven't been doing any internship. But you have to do internship as a part of your curriculum in the 5and6th semester and submit a report about it .paid or not it doesn't matter.
Placement Experience :
Their is a WHOLE CRC department Related to placements college do have a great placement rate in the year 2022 they provided 100% placement to the journalism department. They have connections witch big media monsters like Disney. Where they provide you with internships and jobs.
Campus Life :
As compared to other colleges we do have a small campus and we do not have a fest. But the college do celebrate every festival and occasion organised and managed by the students and student council with the assistance of the cultural department incharge. We do have a great library with every kind of books needed for the course and you can issue it very easily. We don't have any sports event or clubs . We have 6-7 clubs run by the students of the related department. research and development club is run by the journalism department. Comparatively the college doest offer you a flashy social life and college events given the reason is that, the raipur campus was built in 2019 during the pandemic so technically 2023 batch is the 1st batch to have a proper offline classes. But slowly college is catching upto it . They do provide us with excellent practical experience and exposure in every possible way and provide us with every kind of equipments and software we need to be industry ready.
Hostel Facilities :
Currently the hostel is under construction in the college campus .but the college has taken a building in rent in about 2-3kms away from the the college where they keep the students . College provides a bus for the students who live in hostel to reach college and back to hostel without any extra charges . Hostel fees is 8000 per month.

I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. All lectures are done in proper classrooms and study materials are also provides digitally. There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
