Prime factor for choosing Vidyalankar Institute of Technology is its location. The campus provided according to the location is really good and beautiful simultaneously well-maintained. The admission process is the same as the other colleges like CAP rounds, Institute level and admission by contacting the college. The cut-off is quite excellent where it proves the standard of the college. The various departments present in the college is a striking factor of the college. I was admitted in the college by CAP round by utilizing my JEE Score. My personal reason for choosing this college was that, this is the only college where I could receive a degree in Biomedical Engineering using my merit scores and get admitted through CAP rounds.
My passion for research is immense and here by choosing Biomedical Engineering I can take Research as my minor and then continue to pursue a career in research. The education provided here by the faculties has a high standard and good level of knowledge is provided. The noted taken by faculties are easily available for self-study. The assignments provided do have strict submission deadlines but at the same time the assignments are helpful to a few extent. The weekly tests for Mid-Semesters help us constantly review our syllabus and give a good base of revision for the End Semester Exams. The faculties are really helpful, enthusiastic and excited for students with new ideas and also are really helpful for students who are really willing to go out of the box and participate in several events.
As a 2nd year student there several internships offered by our professors and they turn out to be of great help. I worked as an intern at Non-Malignant a startup at our own college, as a technical writer. This was helpful to me to pursue my passion at the same time it was part of our Social Service Internship. The task provided to me was of a technical writer and my job was to simplify the information on given topic from hard and medical language to easy and digestable language. It was fun and I gained nice amount of experience from the same.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
