The NMIMS College has a great reputation for being an excellent and promising college. Nmims have number of courses such as management, law, MBA,BA and business courses. NMIMS have a great infrastructure and practical lab such as moot court for law students, the courses here are taught by highly professional and experienced professors, which have great knowledge and experience regarding the subjects. .The admission process for the for the law courses through Nlat which is an special admission test of NMIMS itself, which is completely online. These test are taken twice in between January to April.
The law curriculum is completely under the guideline of bar Council of India, which completely develop legal knowledge of a student, the law curriculum completely covers all type of law. The curriculum and syllabus changes every semester for every year students.There are various practical subjects included in curriculum such as moot court,The professors of law are highly educated and experience, which provide Full explanation and doubt solving. The faculties mainly use smart boards as their teaching methods. All the notes are given online mode through PPT’s and PDFs. The term exams usually happen the end of the semester, which covers whole syllabus for the semester and there are also midterms, which are of 20 marks that covers half syllabus, the end semester exams are of 50 marks which is subjective based . These midterm marks add up into end semester marks. Midterm are usually easy and 2 subject exams are taking at once on same day, and semester exams, a bit tricky and lengthy.
There are various guidelines given by a bar Association of India, regarding internship for loss students, which contains mandatory turning at NGO. I have opted and have done my internship at various NGO at my hometown, and I have recently intern under a senior lawyer at Rajasthan High Court. As an intern, main task is to attain understanding of legal procedures of court, etiquettes and attire. Also, there are various tasks given to an intern for research and analysing the cases and to brief them to the higher authority. The intern our order to accompany senior advocates to court and visit hearing of some cases which give them brief about the proceedings of court
There is a placement committee which take care of student placement and provide a full guidance to students. In order to make a perfect resume and CV to represent themselves is the best and Capture the opportunity . Placements are done for the fifth year after completing the graduation, the companies choose highly Qualified student and provide them with the package. The highest package last year was around nine lakh per annum. Usually, the students who choose to be cop, associates apply for these placement projects and various other students who aim to become judges or to become a public prosecutor does not apply in these placement projects. My plans after graduation is to join a corporate firm and become best corporate associate
For the course BALLB integrated which is of five years, the fee will be around 2,50,000 and for the first year, it will be 2,60,000 which includes admission fee and registration fee. Any NMIMS does give reservation to the EWS category which is economically weak section of the society. The fee section of the BaLLB cause stable and does not change every year The total fee for five year course will be around 13,00,000.
The NMIMS campus of Nami Mumbai is not that big, but generally pretty good from inside the campus,The college have canteen in itself, which is pretty good and Best for socialising with other students of different courses.Fest of school of law is called Atulya, which is conducted in the month of February, organised by Atulya organising committee, which is usually the students of law and other students of different courses can join. The college have pretty good Library with numbers of books and computers to access online books and research paper. There are no sports or extra curricular activities done from the sides of college, but there are sports committees which helps in conducting various sports events. The sports committee organise Prabhalya every year which is sports event, There are various campus level committees and school level based committees which are made by students by themselves, and anyone can join them and work for the Committee and to build their own resume.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
