So good aspect was obviously the campus, MIT offers a great and green campus, not just that the curriculum for my degree is just uniquely designed and covers some of the most needed skills of the century. For this degree I faced an interview and a group discussion and we had to write an SOP.
The curriculum as I said is flexible and really unique, intersting subjects, skills and courses are offered within the curriculum. My faculty is good and understanding, though at times it gets quite difficult to understand a few things but you'll get a hang of it in just a semester.
Not as of now, though the college's placement cell sends across internship opportunities through official mail, there are various international and good internships available, recently the college is actively sending across emails about it.
Placement cells are active, but cannot comment much about this since I am in first year. Though they send across emails of any available internship which are actually international or really good, I recently got an email about an internship which I am considering to apply for.
So the registration fees goes up to around 2000, yearly fees as this is a 4 year program goes to 1.15 lakhs. MIT provides 2 types of scholarship based on your 10th and 12th percentages which have to be above 90 and 85 respectively or throught your written test scores, it is a broad scholarship that ranges 100% off too.
Life at campus is quite happening, numerous clubs, events, flashmobs never let the social life die here and just outside the campus is a line of just yum food and to chit chat not just that, the college also offers tons of yum food in it's 4 canteens across the campus.
I opted for a private hostel since MIT hostels were booked and some where in a bad condition, my private hostel costs around 3.6 lakhs a year for an 11 month term basis for double occupancy, hostel also provides triple occupancy and AC rooms, with a 4 time meal and good amenities. Though is very over priced but no option
The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
