- University is located in remote place ,it could be bad or good at the same time
- Some strict hostel rules for girls which I really don't like because seriously it sometimes restrict you to participate in such events
Remarks :
This is the only veterinary college in uttrakhand that's why I chose this one and everything in the campus is student conducive . Very comfortable environment and nearby to by hometown plus every basic amenity is here . Written is conducted once in a year that we call as GBPUAT entrance exam . This exam is basically for student from sceince stream either PCB or pcm...
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum for BVSc &A.H. is directly based on VCI describe syllabus .I chose this course because I wanted to become a doctor and this course gives you the Chance to do so and directly you've chance to serve to mother nature and those tiny to large creatures . Now if I describe about our faculty then they all are highly qualified. Many off them holds professional degree of PhD in their respective subjects and truly they owe the subject . They try to resolve all our doubt with a description and reasoning. Really intelligent faculty. 3 internals and 1 external exam including practical and theory papers are conducted in each professional year
Internships Opportunities :
Eggnog and several other companies provide such internship programs .international student exchange programs are also conducted . 5 batches till now have been set to Phillipines, Australia , France etc
Placement Experience :
Time to time several job opportunities are provided by the placement cell of uni. Placement for this corse varying from 5 lakh p.a. to 20 lakh per annum with almost 80%placement. Almost all the students get optimum placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is total fees around 1 lakh per annum for 5.5 years as BVSc & A.h. is of 4.5+1year duration .including hostel mess and tuition fees . In comparison to colleges from other part of country this much for the course is very reasonable.
Campus Life :
Campus life is average . It depends on the student's interest. There are so many societies working at college and university level both . They can take part I'm programs conducted by those societies and can improve themselves and can sharpen their skill at best . College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences pantnagar conducts VET FAIR a fest by a students ,for the students it is of too much fun ...either in the month of March, April or May. Then another is Vet nite, a dinner and cultural nights for the students . And several other program conducted at university level . Central library and college library both are here with almost all the books available for rentals . University has its on stadium viz. Stevenson and is having very good spacious playground ,developed tracks for running. Basketball courts, gym etc CHETNA , Sankritik Chetna parishad , Spicmacay , and so many societies are running.
Hostel Facilities :
Yeah , when we come to topic hostel ,it is mandatory for students of university. There are very rare condition of students not staying hostel . In university almost 15 16 hostels are there 8 for each boys and girls separately. All basic amenities are present , fresh water ,purifier ,clean washroom, geysers everything is upto the mark . Three seater and 2 seater two types of room are available . Hostel mess is the only source for food here . Food quality, hygiene is okay . Weekly menu is there with variety in good food and balance diet is given including milk ,egg, paneer , chicken etc

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
