Likes
- The infrastructure of the college is nice and decent but the classes are not enough. The amount of students that are enrolled are way larger than the classes and rooms that they have in the building to make them sit or to teach them. The hostels and the main building of the college are well cleaned and maintained. The fests that are arrange in the college are good, the guest that are called are also good at performing .
- It is a great place to learn study and grow and the environment is also well maintained for study purposes. The faculty is another strong point about the college , all the teachers are highly educated, experienced and are also approachable, and also contribute to the betterment of their students.
Dislikes
- The faculty is very busy and do not pay much attention to the students when they are approached by them. The food provided in the cafeteria is very basic ,there is a lack of variety in the food items. The rate of food is not worth, the price is very high for the quality of food that the college provides .
- The main building of the college is comparatively very small according to the other colleges. The ground of the college is also very small and there is not enough space for the students to roam around during their break times.
Remarks :
The decision to choose this college was influenced by several factors including its reputation for its academic excellence, placement records, experienced faculty and state of infrastructure. The college industrial collaborations also played a significant role in the choosing for the college. There was no written test required for the admission. The admission was done on the basis of academic percentage of high school ad twelth class. The scholarships were also heavily influenced according to the average percentage of both the classes. The students with above 95% will have more scholarship in the tuition fees followed by 90% then 80% then 70% and accordingly following then. The criteria for scholarships may differ accordingly to the courses one student is opting for but there are scholarships that are assigned for every student to get some benefits from them. The college is overall fine but the gap between the exams seems too short.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the engineering course because when i was in school i was highly interested in codes, how are they written, how are they build ad run ad operated to serve a particular purpose. My curiosity only made me choose this course. The faculty is experienced but sometimes are very lineient towards the study of the students. The exams are held two times every semester, first is mid term in which half of the syllabus comes ad the next is end term in which whole syllabus comes. The result is usually declared during the semester break or during the start of the next semester. The difficulty level is not too hard however it is also not too easy. One needs to prepare just fine to get good marks, the marking scheme however seems difficult as gaining marks is difficult. The faculty is well educated and is also experienced well in their fields but they do not interact with the students that likely. They do so only when it is needed very likely.
Internships Opportunities :
There are several companies that visit regularly with their fixed stipend in the college. The internships depend on the courses one opt for and the salaries also vary according to the courses and the companies that offer those internships and jobs. Companies that include Wipro, TCS , Amazon, Visa, HCL Tech , Accenture, Infosys visit the campus to offer placements to the students all over the college. During last year, many companies had visited the campus to offer job letters to the students, however this year the ration was significantly low. The packages that were offered were among 25 lakhs for computer science student to 3 lakhs for all branches. About 60% of the total students are placed in all over the batch which includes students from all the other three branches of the college as well. The college has a total of four branches that include Graphic era hill university, Dehradun, Graphic era deemed to be university, Dehradun.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities provided by the college are decent, with a placement cell that works well between the students and the recruiters. Many reputed companies visit the campus to offer placements to the students offering roles across various domains including IT, consulting, law, hotel management, finance, politics, core engineering and many others. The eligibility criteria for placements is simple, a decent cgpa along with no standing backlogs that most of the companies demand for while providing the jobs. For students not opting for career jobs, the college provides them career counselling and support of higher education, including preparations for other exams such as GATE, GRE or CAT. I plan to leverage the skills and experience gained during my course to secure a role in my dream company as a software developer. I am considering pursuing a master's degree abroad to specialize further in my area of interest, focusing on research oriented roles.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fee structure for the course span four years includes tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, lab fees and other compulsary charges. In the first year the tuition fees is 2 lakhs along with admission fess of 30,000, security fees 10,000, which is refundable, lab fees 20,000. For subsequent years there is slight increase in annual fees every consecutive years, approximately 5% due to the inflation. Other charges including lab fees, developement fees and miscellaneous charges remains constant throughout the subsequent years. Refundable deposits are reimbursed over course completion. There are various scholarships as well which are included during the admission such as on the basis of the percentage in 10th and 12th class, if you are a native of the same state as the college that is uttarakhand, if you are girl student, if your family has a member that is serving in army, if you have a sibling that is studying or in past has studied from the same college.
Campus Life :
The life at campus is not very much happening as the campus is very small ad there is only the main building and a small ground in which one can play or sit during breaks. The fest is held every year only one time and it lasts upto 3 days. The first two days some guests are invited to perform which are mainly singers and the third day a dj is called on which students can dance and enjoy themselves. There are several groups that are formed within the college like there are dance groups, singing groups, for coders, there are groups related to coding that conduct various coding competitions and hackathons time to time that allows students to test their capabilities, give them exposure, make new friends. For freshers, there is a welcoming program that lasts upto few days in which many games like chess, human ludo, hide and seek, steal or borrow and other similar games are organized which the students can play to enjoy. There are also various prizes that one win at the end of each game.
Hostel Facilities :
I opted for a hostel during my course and the review has been fairly positive. The infrastructure is well maintained, with spacious rooms that can easily accommodate two to three people. There are different types of room that are provided by the hostel to the students which includes one seater room that has capacity for one student, then there are two seater and three seaters rooms. Also above that the rooms are also classified as ac or non ac rooms and the price for each room varies according to these categories. The food provided by the hostel is very simple however sometimes it is bad which makes it difficult to eat and other times it is just so so. The meals have variety for vegetarian and non vegetarian options, served on a rotating menu. To apply for a room, we have to register during the admission process. The rooms are kept very cleaned and there are cleaning services that are provided on a daily basis.

Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
