- Classrooms are digital and clean, sitting capacity is also good
- Teachers are very friendly and ready to help anytime
Dislikes
- The building is too small for such number of students
- There is serious issue of drinking water
Remarks :
Not so far from my home. Rents and PGs are very cheap aslo the university itself is situated in such area so I don't have use any bus to reach the university. Also they provide quality education of my concern subject.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The experience was very good. But it can be varies from person to person because the culture is very strict there. Classes are strictly to be attained otherwise internal marks will not be given. Also in the university most of the time some meetings or programs are organised for us sometimes such programs can be boring.
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven't opted for any internship or placement because there is no placement facilities there. Everyone has to prepare for their own. But teachers will for such compititive examinations. Also career counseling also provided.
Placement Experience :
Paper can be published individually or within group. Professors provide guidance in that manner also net coaching and other compititive exm preparation are take care by the authority. Lactures are organised for students welfare. But there is no placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total I have spent 1 lakh as admission fee. Examination fee and registration fee are taken separately. Examination fee is 2300 which has to be paid per semester. Register fee is 600 also migration has to be submitted if migrated from other board or university that fee varies person to person. There is no entrance test for admission but the matter of seat availability. If the seats are full then there is no chance of admission.
Campus Life :
As the campus is not so big so we had to roaming around the class. But there are cultural units and nss units by joining them one can easily do creative things. But friends are no enemy to anyone if one can make good friends, so friends can be made there. There is no restriction on it.
Hostel Facilities :
There is no hostel facility at the university but the university provides some tie-up PGs where students can stay at discounted price. Which is in very near to the university. Also other rental rooms are available there.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
