- the colleges infrastructure is really nice and very spacious. it's a 7 floor building. the 5th floor entirely is the library, 7th floor has the auditorium, screening room and a studio, 3rd floor has IT labs, 1st floor has science laboratories, other floors have normal classrooms. there are around 10 classrooms on each floor
- the teachers or thakur college are really amazing they are very approachable and knowledgeable. they make each lecture very interesting which makes it fun for us to attend lectures everyday. the campus life is very lively i would say, every other day there is some event going on where u can participate and also socialize
Dislikes
- the bathrooms. the bathrooms on 1st and 4th floor are really amazing but the other washrooms are genuinely disgusting nobody goes to those washrooms and therefore 1st and 4th floor washrooms end up always bring crowded during breaks
- for faculty like I said the teachers are amazing but the supporting staff have no chill, they are always rude and arrogant, even to the teachers! they talk to the teachers like they are some kind of superiors that run the college and the teachers are the slaves. one bad interaction with them and it ruins your entire day. for campus life I would say a part of the crowd of thakur isn't really good they cause a lot of ruckus and fights which tarnishes the name of the college. because of people like them our college has a bad reputation online and gets trolled
Remarks :
the college is very welcoming and the admission process is easy therefore i feel the college gives an opportunity to people that aren't toppers, everyone in thakur college is very talented when it comes to skill based stuff, the college excels at sports events outdoor activities fashion show dance etc, if I talk about my course specifically BAMMC which is all about media and films photography etc. there are many such events in which students from my college participate in and excel at like short film festivals photography competitions etc. bad aspects of the college some would say is the crowd especially in common courses like bcom or bsc
Course Curriculum Overview :
The teachers are thakur college especially in my course are really amazing, they focus on practical based learning, most colleges only teach by the book so that the student learns it scores well and makes the college look good but at the end of the day they don't actually learn anything. so in that case i would say I learn a lot of stuff here where grades aren't the first priority but learning is. one downside of the faculty would be the supporting staff that even talk to the teachers like they are slaves apart from that the teachers are very humble. the supporting staff needs to chill.

Campus Life :
So in thakur college we have a lot of events, every other month there is something to entertain you. taarangan the main fest of thakur college is held in the month of December. cortokino the departmental fest of BAMMC is held in January. both these fests are handled by the students for the students and they are really enjoyable. talking about books we don't have proper textbooks now that there's NEP. which i think is a great idea because everything u learn is through practical experiences rather than byhearting something from the textbook. ensures that students attend the lectures otherwise they won't understand much. the there's an entire floor dedicated for the library which i think is really cool, many students go there to study or read or sit quietly. our classrooms have AC, a smart board. the sports in thakur college is exceptional it has all sports like basketball football cricket handball volleyball athletics and even powerlifting and mma which isn't there in many colleges.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods.
